Whats new in the world of Cingular? any upcoming phones?

If at all possible, I don't want to mess with any PC software. With that said, is there a way to send ringtones from a razr to a z520 via Bluetooth?

I'm in the market for a new cingular phone. I use my cell for all my phone calls (I have no house phone line) but I text/email alot too. My phone is always up to my ear - I don't have a bluetooth phone now.

Should I get the blackberry 7130 or another phone and use predictive text? Everyone on this site is so knowledgeable - I'd really appreciate some insight.

SEATTLE -- Cingular Wireless Corp. promised to provide uninterrupted service to AT&T Wireless customers when it acquired that company in 2004, but instead it nickel-and-dimed them and degraded their reception in an effort to persuade them to sign new contracts, a federal lawsuit said Thursday.

The lawsuit, which alleges breach of contract and violations of consumer protection laws, seeks class-action status on behalf of the more than 20 million customers AT&T Wireless had at the time of the merger. Many paid $18 "transfer" fees to switch to Cingular plans and were required to buy new phones or pay other fees, said the complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Seattle.

When AT&T Wireless and Cingular merged almost two years ago, AT&T customers were promised a seamless transition and upgraded service as part of the nation's largest cell phone company.

But calls started dropping and customers suddenly began getting network busy signals. When they called to complain, customers were told they had to sign a new contract with Cingular or face a fee for terminating their AT&T contracts.

New phones were no longer available. Signals got worse and worse.

Now, some of those customers are accusing the new merged carrier of conspiring to steadily degrade the old AT&T network in order to induce customers to sign on to Cingular instead.

Seriously why cant phone companys get together and create a universal phonebook

same icons .. same info

so you can transfer it from one phone to another without going thru bells and wistles just to get it like you had it

I moved my book via the sim card from my Nokia to my Motorola and all the icons defaulted to Main .. so entries with more than one number all have main as the icon .. so now i have to figure out which number is mobile, home ect

i dont think it would be so hard

1. They messed up my plan so bad i had to switch to Verizon.

2. Bought out AT&T Wireless (my favorite wireless company ever) and messed it all up!!

3. Customer service reps unhelpful!! transfered around and hardly any speak fluent english!

4. Network issues where my phone would ring 50% of the time when people called. other 50% went right to VM

Why is it that we don't have any smart phone worth gloating about. I mean look. our best phone runs off of an windows 2003 OS (I-paq). I mean yes we have a black berry which was out done by T mobile, and yes we have the other one (8125) which has the functiality but no form factor. I just thought it was going to be momentary, and we would step up and release something worth waiting on. Now other carriers have 3 or 4 new hot smart phones.... Am I making noise over nothing or do I have a long road to go.

My topic of today is Customer Service ☹️ which is one of the number one problems people have to discuss on here or any forum for cell phones. Now I've heard the horror stories and bad store experiences people have had but do you guys think it the companies policies that cause sooo many complains and problems or is it really just the wrong people at the wrong time? 🤨

P.S. I know customer service is a sore spot for a few reps on here so lets not get to upset. We've all had a few bad customers.

how can i get aim on my 8125, and i dont want Agile messenger. i hear alot of people saying they are using the aim from http://www.aol.co.uk/aim/wince/index.html and alot of people say it works. but i cannot figure out the set up. can some people tell me what messaging service they are using and how its holding up?

I'm looking for a new carrier, and I don't know which one to choose. I'm looking to switch from Nextel and I've narrowed my decision down to Cingular or Verizon. Please provide any insight on the quality of service with Cingular. I live in Missouri, so if any lives in the midwest, please let me know how's the reception.

I was wondering if anyone hears "echos" on calls? It's annoying and I was wondering if it's my phone model or if its the network? I have a Nokia 6102. How do I make the echos disappear? I've been told by a Cingular rep to lower the headset volume, but it doesn't work if I keep lowering it. Can't hear a darn thing..

First of all, I am a rep for T-Mobile. That has nothing to do with my question, but I didn't want anyone to think I am trolling, or trying to start something if they check my posting history. I'm actually calling on behalf of a friend of mine who is a Cingular customer.

My friend was originally on AT&T's North America plan, then he was migrated to Cingular, and believed that he was put on the North America plan.

He was not. He was put on a US plan. After his first bill, he called customer care, they apologized, and said that they would correct his plan.

This didn't happen. Second bill comes, he called again, and AGAIN was told it would be corrected.

I live about 15 min from NYC .. in New Jersey .. Does anyone know or think that once the 3G is up and running there .. weather it will carry over to my area?

Is there any way I can find out weather were supposed to get it in my area?

I make 90% of my calls within a few miles of my house .. so most of my phone use is in that area

cust came in to upgrade today and heres how some of the interaction went:

cust: (in a sarcastic tone) "so what are you gonna do when you guys go turn back into att?"

me: "continue to collect my paychecks and go home and not think about stuff like that"

cust "that was a smart ass comment"

me: "didnt mean it to be"

cust: "seriously though, what is gonna happen"

Was wondering for this 8125 palm and the one with the slide out keyboard, what data plan is required with these phones. Just the 3000 txt/pic msg plan or what else? Also to use the wifi unlimited?

Does anybody know when the Samsung ZX20 will be released??
