On Line Account Manager

Any of you Cingular folks know what is the problem with checking minutes on the On Line Account Manager? It is days behind, and has been for the whole weekend. I have seen it update in a matter of 30-45 minutes before, but now it is worthless.

Motorola bluetooth quality control

I'm really upset with the lack of quality control in my Moto bluetooth headsets ... I've had (no lie) over 10 different headsets (820 850 and 700) and it seems like its a crap shoot ... you can get one that sounds loud and clear .. and another of the same model and its volume seems to be way lower .. I've had no less than 5 Moto 850's connected with my phones .. and some were all great while others terrible ..

Take my 815 which I've had with verizon since it came out .. I had 5 different 850;s hooked up to it and 3 where loud and clear .. connection was awesome and 2 that were low and hard to hear .. the connection seemed to be unphased but the volume of the piece was way lower

As well when I tried to connect those to my Cingular phon...

AT&T or Cingular? What will they choose?

Well SBC was stupid enough to change to AT&T will they be stupid enough to change Cingular to the AT&T name? only time will tell.... Maybe they'll repeat history and destroy the company(s) and kill the AT&T name once and for all. Last time i checked the AT&T name didn't mean s**t and to think they can buy a name and it will make them look/sound like a better company is ludicrus.

W T F

So back in Feb Cingular went with a standard 175.00 flat fee for etf. in care markets we prorated the etf and they did it to get standardized with the rest of the industry, but verizon hates to copy us, we love to copy them and now that we got rid of it, they are doing it.............. erg.

fustrating please help

ok so I bought a old junked 557 to use till the n80 comes out .. I know you 6682 fans will bash me but the amount of txt messaging i do coupled with my fat fingers .. makes for a horrible time

anywho .. I saved my phone book from the Nokia to the sim card and transfered the card to the 557

how do I get the numbers off my card to save in the phone without doing it all one by one

mobiledia a great list- confirmed by Cingular

This list has been all but confirmed. This is a very accurate list. These phones are either in testing or have passed testing. Nokia will make the N80 for Cingular exactly the way Cingular wants. Then the phone will go into testing Nokia is really proud of this phone. They want Cingular to take it really bad. Cingular is really pleased with the performance sales wise and network wise of the 8125. Look for HTC and Cingular to do a lot more business in the future. Cingular was not pleased with the performance of the last windows mobile product from motorola that Cingular got the exclusive on. The nokia 9300 has been a big hit with business customers. one of Cingular's priotities for 06 is to lower the defect rate in the phones they sell. Go...

boredom

Here's a true story that I made up about the day I went to the pet store! (Actually I didn't make it up, but hey)

I like monkeys.

The pet store was selling them for five centsa piece.

I thought this was odd since they are normally a couple thousand apiece.

I decided not to look a gift horse in the mouth, so I bought 200 of them.

I like monkeys.

I took my 200 monkeys home. I have a big car.

I let one of them drive. His name was Sigmund. He was retarded.

In fact, none of them were really bright. They kept punching themselves in the genitals.

I laughed.

They punched me in the genitals.

I stopped laughing.

When I got home, I herded them into my room. They didn't adapt very well to their new environ...

Nokia 6126 availability, more flips in our future?

Does anyone know when we might see the Nokia 6126 in Cingular stores? Rumor on the individual phone site here at phonescoop was on July 5th, but is there any way to know for sure or other opinions?

It would be great if we seen more higher end flip phones like this one, so if there's any more news on more nice flip phones, please advice.

Thanks in advance.

Cingular cutting non-home accounts?

I'm curious as to if any of you have seen or heard anything about the letters we've come across for Cingular customers in our area. It appears over the past few months that a number of Cingular customers that reside in non-Cingular home areas have been contacted via mail and have been told they were going to be deactivated. We have a major university and large military base in our area so many of these customers are transplants from another town.

I work for a competing carrier and our reps have seen a number of these customers, and some of them have become our new customers.

Just curious if anyone can back this up and if so, do you know why Cingular has done this?

Thanks!

Anyone worked BOTH in store and in call center?

I currently work in a call center. I'm a manager, but was once a rep. I'm leaving for a while to go on tour, but I have offers on the table for both a store and the call center again... both for about the same base, but I don't know the commission for a store (never worked there).

Anyone worked both in a store and in a call center? If so, what did you like better?

+/- of both?

Lets share crazy customer stories

Anyone got some funny stories about crazy customers? Lets share, I'll start...................

An old lady came into my store howling because her phone no longer worked. So I took the back off of the phone and saw that it had been water damaged. She said "Thats never been in water!" and so I shook it a few times and some water hit my desk. She said "If you don't give me a new one free, I'm going to take my business somewhere else!" And I said "Ummm......I'm pretty sure water damaged phones won't work with any carrier, but yeah you can go somewhere else. I know Cingular has push to talk but I don't know about wet to dry."
I eventually talked her into upgrading....

New Upgrade policy....

I liked Cingular SOOO, infinitely, much better when they were the number 2 wireless carrier. "Why?" you ask? I just got off of my daily visit to good ol CSP and guess what I found?

Effective 7/10 Cingular will be adjusting their upgrade policy to include a new factor to determine eligibility. What is that factor? Why it's none other than "Customer Profitability"!!! So now you can actually be denied an upgrade discount even if you're out of contract simply because you don't make the company enough money!!! ๐Ÿ™„

Granted they claim that this will only affect a small percentage of customers, but what exactly is a "small percentage" when you deal with 54 million + people? I mean just 2% is still over a million people!

May God ha...

BBB pwns Sprint: Cingular's Network claim endorsed

http://www.engadgetmobile.com/2006/06/28/bbb-largely ... »

PWNED!

Maybe Verizon really does know all of this and thats why Verizon has yet to jump into the litigation battle and remained mostly on the sidelines. Sprint succeeded in two things.

1. Looking foolish
2. Having another source backup Cingular, thereby helping support Cingulars claim.

I still think Verizon will jump in before this is all said and done. But I'm happy that Sprint was handed an incredible setback towards their advertising efforts. Cingular will without a shadow of a doubt use things as well as the Telephia drive results to laugh Sprint out of the courtroom.

Go big Orange!!!

Using an aircard on media net

Here's my problem -

I have a Treo 650. I don't like giving Cingy all my dough... so I'm currently using the 19.99 media net unlimited as my data plan, and it works flawlessly (well... as far as wireless data on a treo goes). Well... I tried to hook it up to my computer to use it as a wireless modem, and was frustrated to find out that the treo won't work that way.

Anyway, the moral of the story is a question. If I were to spend the dough to buy a Sierra 860 off of eBay, and I plugged my SIM card into it (with voice plan and 19.99 media net plan), would it work?
I'm trying to get out of spending 60 or 80 bucks on a data plan.
