Could you please tell me if Cingular is going to get the Nokia 8801?

I have been a Cingular customer for over 3 years now, and I have been extremely happy with the service and coverage. However I am thinking of switching to T-Mobile so that I can get the 8801. I know you can get it unlocked but then again it wont be insured.

I have worked in Cingular customer service in a variety of ways. Cingular customer service reps have gotten bashed a lot. Cingular customer is service has gotten better but still has a long way to go. The number one problem is reps are not treated with very well. The good reps leave due to lack of career path. Cingular is not an employer of choice for customer service reps. For the good reps it is a place to go till they find another job. For the bad reps it becomes a place that will put up with their no can do attitude. Cingular customer service will continue struggle as long as they are not an employer of choice for the customer service rep. In turn customers tend to have a bad expereince.

I really don't, I am black. I am trying to get everyone away from the "Cingular sucks" thread. 😁

Recently, Cingular introduced new messaging bundles that really don't give the customer a variety of choices in prices and quantity. My question is if Cingular would like to really corner the market, why not offer more competitive packages and prices to their new and existing customers?

For example, one of their "bundles" includes 3,000 messages of any type for $19.99, while over here at T-mobile, we have UNLIMITED for $14.99.

Also, "MEdiaNet Bundles" go for $14.99 with 1000 anykind msg's and 5 mb of GPRS usage. Over here at T-mobile, we have UNLIMITED GPRS usage for %5.99 a month. Combined prices for unlimited msg's and GPRS at T-mobile are $20.98 a month for everything UNLIMITED.

my friend told me that cingular was changing its name to at&t and he saw this on a billboard does annyone know if this is true?

i am just curious if cingular starts off its part time employees at the same pay as full time? i was told differently be several reps. one said $8 starting another said it was $10. who is right?

It's been my understanding for many, many months that UMTS/HSDPA is being deployed soon after network integration is completed. Is this correct? or not? Because after reading that Miami will have UMTS/HSDPA as soon as Aug is very misleading to me. When I look on the MTi map tool one can say that this market hasn't been integrated yet (not even started!!)
What do you guys think about this?

on the cingular website, the " Blue RAZR"

is labeled as a V3, but anyone with a V3i knows the keypad and outershell is that of a v3i and not a V3.

you can see the larger black area with the M logo on it that can glow the "blue" light.

so maybe that'll help with all your

If i upgrade from the 39.99 to the 59.99 plan for more anytime minutes, will i keep my rollover minues i have on my 39.99 plan?

I'm thinking about joining Cingular, mainly for the ability to buy any GSM phone and swap the sim without having to go through cst svc. Some questions and concerns are:

1) Can I buy any unlocked or cingular locked GSM phone, even if it's used in Europe (say off Ebay) and not available in the US?

2) Text/Pic msg - Is there a unlimited or near unlimited plan?

3) Will Cing one day offer the circle of friends deal?

4) What is the fastest data servc available now, UMTS or 3G?

when cingular has 3g phones will they have some sort of v-cast to download full lengh songs? i have a sony ericsson w600i and i cant download full songs but chinese w900 can because of 3g does this mean we will be able to on 3g phones?
