I thought I heard sometime next year cingy was going to have some music store is this still going to happen?

when is this coming to stores or online?

I'm going to be switching to Cingular within the next two months and wanted opinions on what the best non-camera phone is. My work restricts the use of camera's on site and so i'm looking for a non-camera phone.

From what i've seen though, there isn't much selection for a non-camera phone.

Any suggestions?

I was cruising e-bay checking out some weird phones and came across the Nokia 6651, a Dual-mode WCDMA 1900/GSM 1900 phone. I was wondering, is WCDMA 1900 the band that Cingular is currently deploying, and if I got this phone, would I be able to utilize it?

I see tons of euro phone with WCDMA 2100, is this just the european version of UMTS, like GSM 850 is to GSM 900?

To those grief strucken nokia 6230 users whose phones locked up....... and they ordered a phone somewhere besides cingular to use on their networks..

i heard from a rep saying

" some how the lady used her insurance claim to get a w600i in exchange for her 6230 "

the 6230 was a great phone although kinda plain janey...

it had expandable memory on MMC's that run to a gig or more.. and an mp3 player..

they offered moto v551 or siemens s56 as a replacement

moto v551 = no expandable memory off its puny like 10 mb? of memory

siemens = no mp3 support without 3rd party or java apps..

so although a rumor.. i think it seems a just thing to do seeing as this is the only phone I see as able to replace a 6230..

so does anyone...

I have a postpaid account but my phone is wigging out. I want to replace the phone with a prepaid phone to avoid contracts etc. Can a postpaid SIM be used in a Prepaid phone? Does the phone need to be "unlocked" or something to that effect?

I was just in the Verizon forum and got reminded of this little problem I have with Cingular.

About 2-3 years ago I was at the end of a credit cleanup and thus when I wanted to get Cingular service Cingular wanted a $400 deposit. I didn't get the service and went to Tmobile instead (they wanted $75). Cingular then started sending me a BILL EVERY MONTH for $400 - When I called and asked about it they said to ignore it unless I wanted service then I could just pay that bill and they will activate service. I begged and pleaded with them for months to STOP sending this bill...2-3 years later I STILL RECEIVE THIS BILL EVERY MONTH!

I guess they're just hoping I'll die and my heirs will pay this "bill" then get stuck with a cancellation fee ...

I heard that Cingular & Yahoo! are teaming up. The phone will be a Nokia music phone w/ a megapixel camera. Please post any details/info on this.

Just ordered my new Sony Ericsson w600i, and cingular is telling me that only a charger and battery are included, but I'm reading on the Sony Ericsson, and cingular websites that software, extra faceplate, and headphones are included. Does anyone know for sure whats included? I would like to be able to hook it up to the PC and load my music as soon as it comes in the mail.

Anyone have any updated news on the HTC 2125 last expected release date I read was for Nov 18th. Of course they were saying it would be called the Cingular 2125, but in light of recent news they may want to rethink that branding.

i got a w600i today and it was everything i thought it would be. this phone is totally awesome. i'm so glad i didnt buy the rokr or the razr!

and it was just as much as the razr when it came out too... only $199 w/2 year. no mail in rebate either like someone else had mentioned. or maybe i just got lucky?

I am in the SSG department, and it's not as bad as it was 10 months ago when in Cingular knew what we did, but I am wondering how many reps out there still don't know our function?

hello to every one here i am a new member of this site. i would like to know since cingular is coming out with this new ptt service and i want to get it if any one has used it yet and how there feed back is on it.

alot of people are ranting and raveing about the new "MERIT PLAN" vzw is now offering. i have upgraded a few people who have used this merit thing. is a cool feature for the customers who deserve it. what i am wondering is if cingular has anything in place or coming soon to compare with this merit plan vzw has? i am a cingular ex-employee now selling vzw, t-mobile and sprint but still proudly carry my cingy phone and would like to know if cingy has anything to compare.

I am pretty certain I know the answer to this, but can unlimited nights/weekends be added to this plan? The reason I ask is several people who switched from TDMA to GSM got this plan before it was announced and some said that for $9.99 they could add the n/w feature.

I saw a CINGULAR ad in today's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, which advertised the RAZR for "$100 off." I'm guessing that would have made the price about $99.

I am a BLUE (ATTWS) customer who has been waiting until my contract expires in June 2006 to upgrade. However, when I saw the ad for $100 off of the RAZR, I enthusiastically called 611 to see if I could indeed get $100 off on an upgrade.

I spoke to a young man (I think his name was Rauol) and he said that the offer was available in stores, probably as a BOGO. I called my local Cingular store, and the lovely girl said that the "$100 off price" was reserved for new activations.

Is there any new information on the release date for this phone? My fiance has Cingular and I have T-mobile so I am considering getting an account but the timing depends on this phone as I would like to get the best deal possible. Also, would I get a better deal by opening a seperate account or would I come out just as well converting hers to family talk and getting it that way? Last question, is it possible to avoid activation fees as I know a while back these were commonly waived to get subscribers but I don't know if that's the case anymore. I currently have an unlocked RAZR V3 that I was going to give her if I get the V3i and was told to add that to her account would cost 25 for a sim and something like 36 for activation although I ...

Soft nationwide launch of ptt tommorrow lg 7200 only.

could the marketing depatment please please please cut down on the promotion for the go phone and do more with regular rate plans. we have quotas to meet and with this big push on go phones but if you want us to hit 80% of new activations on $59.99 plans and 80% of features then please market all types of phones. you can not get any features on go phones therefore making the sales reps not hit their goal...therefore making your sales reps get hit with sam. yeah its a great idea but when cust come in looking for these go phones and you try to upsell them on a reg plan and they hear thoes 3 little words ' 2 year contract' they say well i dont wants a contracts.
