anybody have any info on the motorola v557 the update to the v551 😁

Well, I work in COR in the Chicago market, and I must say I am definitely enjoying the flame wars here about Wal-Mart/Best Buy vs. Cingular company stores. But I was in a Wal-Mart yesterday and stopped to read the fine print. Basically, the ONLY way wal mart will return a phone no questions is if it less than 15 days old AND has less than 30 minutes of airtime on it. Just thought I would pass it along. Cingular company stores give you 30 days no questions, and doesn't matter how many minutes you put on the phone.

Can someone please explain to me EXACTLY what GO Phone is? The Pre-paid version and pick your plan. I just don't get it.

I posted this question in the 6102 forum but no one has answered it yet. Does anyone know if there is a way to erase names from the list of 'recently used' numbers that comes up when you send a text message on the 6102? It is driving me crazy...thanks in advance!

I've done a search for this but haven't found an exact answer. Basically I had a Motorola T721 (originally AT&T) and have upgraded to a LGC2000.

I have stored all my contacts on the Motorola on the phone itself and old SIM card too. But when I put the old SIM into the new LG phone, it says "phone restricted" and if I choose cancel it asks for a "restriction code" which I don't have.

I then tried the opposite - putting the new SIM into my old Motorola and attempting to store everything from the old phone to the new SIM. But now I get "Enter subsidy password" and again I don't have that.

Is there anything I can try (outside of manually storing every contact, 1 by 1) or do I need to go to a Cingular store? (And would a Cingular stor...

Hello i need help over a while i have accumulated 12,000 minutes and now i want to add a line for a family member and they tell me i will loose my rollover I'm going up in service not downward! this policy sucks it should be you loose your lollover only if you are going down in plan why do you loose your rollover if you are going to give them more $$$ its messed up whats become of cingular??? 😕 😢

They will tell you you won't get suppost from Best Buy and wal Mart but you don't NEED it from them. You won't get support from a Cingular corporate store either because they did not make a commission off ya. So there you go.

ok guys, i need your help. i'm rolling my at&t plan into a cingy this month. i need a hot phone! my boyfriend just got a razr and thinks it's the hottest thing out. any suggestions? i need somethig with great reception because i'm getting rid of my crapy panasonic gu87. also, if i get a phone from overseas, what do i need to know to make sure it's compatable?! i do like the nokia n80 and n90. is this an option for cingy? will you get it and when?! 😕

Quick question. I purchased a Black Razr in July from Cingular. Everything has been great with the phone except my outer display stopped working, due to getting pressed hard whilst in my pocket, but no superficial damage. How should I go about getting my phone fixed? Do I take into my local Cingular store or do I send it to Motorola directly? Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

i was going on MSNBC and i found this website called www.celltradeusa.com where you can trade plans. Does anybody ever done it this way, i would like to switch to maybe T-Mobile or Sprint and get out of this Cingular plan. thanks

We are considering porting to Cingular from VZW, I am planning on starting the 30 day trial this week, but I have a couple of questions for Cingular vets, or hopefully a Cingular employee:

1. I don't want to port my number over until I know Cingular will work for me, so is it possible to go through the 30 day trial with a new number, then switch my number over if we like it?

2. I am planning on getting one of the refurb Treo 650s for myself, and I believe I understand how MediaNet works, vs. PDA Connect, so correct me if I have this wrong: If I order my treo without a data plan, then call up after the fact and ask to have the $20 unlimited MediaNet added to my account, I will be allowed to do this, as long as I don't tell them it ...

First of all, I have no problem with your loud voice. But when you say that agent stores and core stores are ripping people off, you don't know what the hell you are talking about. Your statement was born in hell. Here is an important statistic. In my agent store, in November of 2004 we activated 50 new lines, In November of 2005 we activated only 15 new lines. Management and employees have not changed. What has changed is the pricing by Cingular that the core stores are required to follow and the agent stores are suggested to follow.
