i saw a post in the vzw forum where a guy said he saw a promo plan that was an exact match to the one that t-mobile has. turns out he was drunk or something. but another person said its a $49.99 1500 min plan. is this true, any one know?

I have an older Family Talk plan; 850 minutes for $60.00. If I wanted to add another line to Family Talk, could I add it to my old plan or do I have to switch to a new current plan?

I need a hot mutlimedia phone, that works nicely as a phone. i need music and I'm going between the ROKR and W600i. I'm hearing the W600i can hold between 20 - 100 songs, but what about video? Can I record a show on the sony? As for the ROKR, is it true I can watch shows on it? Any word on the ROKR E2 release date? Is the only reason reason the ROKR is getting neg reviews is the design and 100 song limit?

I noticed that once in a while SMS to my Cingular GSM 6230 Nokia dont get delivered. I called customer service and they acknowledged it as a known problem and gave me a $5 credit. I am just curious about two things:

1) would things be better for me if i switch to a different "Message center number"? Right now i am using +12029042030

2) is there a way for me to tell what MHz my phone is using? (800MHz/1800MHz/1900MHz) I am on unlocked Nokia 6230.

I thought with PPT comming out with Cingular there would be more PTT talk. are there phones from other carriers that would work on Cingular. Any europe fones you would like to see Cingular Use?

I activated my first UMTS data card today, and lemme tell you... it was fast! I can't wait to get one for myself now. We ran a few searches from Google first, which took about a second to return information on. We didn't download any large files, but checking his email and loading graphically oriented webpages only took a few seconds. It's definitely a big step forward in the world of wireless data.

Is this phone cingular bound...and also will the ptt be capable of cingular's kodiak network? I want this phone...a camera, color screen, flip, make/receive calls...all i want in a phone...unlike the crappy lg ptt phone....

Ok any Cingular reps reading this, I would like your input on the situation that happened to me yesterday in a Cingular corporate store.

I went in because I wanted to port a number from an account in my name with another carrier, to an account with Cingular that is not in my name. Basically I was trying to do an add a line to an existing family plan, and it happened to be a port in.

My question is this: Is getting an activation with a higher MRC so much more valuable than an add a sub in terms of commission that it justifies blatant lying to a customer?

I'm getting close to the upgrade timing for my phone and I'd like to know what some of you recommend...I currently have the V551 which for the most part has been a good phone, except the reception kinda sucks and the bluetooth has a hard time staying connected to the headset (both of which seem to be a common problem with this phone). So...

Has anything else been updated on the V557 other than the ticker? If the reception and bluetooth are better then I'm sold.

Or the Razr? I know a few people who have this phone and love it. OR hold out for the Razr V3i?

I just read the January issue of Consumer reports it ranked cingular as dead toilet bowl last. They just came straight out and said Cingular has wide spread static problems.
That’s pathetic! What is cingular going to do about this?

as i'm crusing through best buy for a memory card i see th LG CE500. it's been there for a little while and it's an okay phone with okay features. but i notice the cingular store don't have any and neither does the website. i realize it was released as a best buy exclusive but is it ever going to hit the cingy stores or website? if so when?

I heard the rokr has problems ringing after the phone has been hung up and the only way to solve this is to take out the battery. Is this a common problem with the phones becaz I was going to buy one but im kinda hesitant after hearing this.

how fast is EDGE because i know i get EDGE because my SE Z500a says i have service in my house and i'm just wondering i could cancel my DSL. And how do you IM without paying for every text message? on EDGE, like a laptop card. and can't wait till 3G comes to Minneapolis. And how fast is 3G?
