What all experience does one need to be in retail?(instead of happy customer care)

I was wondering if you need any sort of training or anything to be in Retail sales and if its better the Cust care.

bro broke his t637, will cingular replace it with the t637 again.? do they still offer the t637? if not, do they replace it with the z500a? either phone is fine but just wanna know THANKS 😁

Customer related rant...

Okay..so i'm sitting here in my store today, and this lady came in for a car charger..after she flipped out that it was $26.99, I told her i'd do her a favor and take $10 off (whoopty freaking do!)...then after i cash her out, she has the audacity to say "ummm..you're not doing this for your career, are you?" and i just stared vapidly at her.. i mean... i know i'm just using this as a part time thing to work my way through college, but there are people who choose this profession as their career, and as such, i felt deeply offended...do we really have that bad of a reputation? or was this person just a self-righteous moron?

Mobile Solutions lol 2

The all great mobile solutions got the contract dropped becuz they have to high of CHURN!!! rate if u do not know what CHURN is it is a % of how many of ur sales come back with in a month year or whatever but they had a 5.8% in CHURN last year so mobile solutions got there contract dropped and cingy wants the CHURN to aleast atleast be 2.5% at the highest there goal is 1.5% i think i got all that right if i didn't let me know but there is the update on mobile solutions but they still have there contract in some markets until July 6th

The new gold network?(when cingular/att finally merge both networks together)

When this new network finally is established an off the ground will the customers need a new plan to be able to use this new network? Or if ur already with cingy will u be able to get the benefits of this new network? Is it true that reception hasnt improved since the merger was approved back in november meaning that if ur on cingy network ur still using cingy towers an if ur on att network u only use that network?

Help with new 64K SIM card!

Please help! I recently had to buy a new SIM card (well, my daughter lost her phone). I bought a new phone for myself (Samsung P207), installed my old 32k card in it, and gave my daughter the old phone (LG 1400). The new card has a very poor reception, it's up and down, and drops calls all the time. I know it's not the phone. If I swap the cards and put the old 32k card in LG, it works perfectly, full bar. The 64k card has bad reception even with the brand new Samsung (1-2 bar instead of 5-6 with the 32k card). I even tried another LG 1400 - same story. the old card works, and the new doesn't. On top of that all my incoming calls an all 3 lines are being duplicted with a mysterious "incoming roaming" or FFMR. I called Cingular rep, and they ...

I heard there was a number u can call if u have no service.

I was told that if u dont have service in a certain area u can call a number ang bring it to cingy attetion is this true?
I ask this becaz i live in south Ontario 92336 area code an i have no service or barely any servivce but if i walk a block or two from my house i have service why is this?

Have You Raised The Bar Lately?

In our call center reps are being recognized as "Raising The Bar" by essentially kissing the butts of every customer that calls in. For example and this is an actual e-mail "I just overheard REP X RAISE THE BAR on a call where she told our customer to congratulate her son on his graduation. GREAT JOB Rep X!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now most of you know me on this forum. This kind of a$$ kissery is unacceptable. I believe great customer service is geting your cell phone to work, explaining your bill, and finding a store location near you, and most other concerns along those lines. Showing concern over someones kid that is probably doing the same thing millions of other kids are doing across the country is just unneccessary. "Just the facts maam" Let's ...

I need a phone recommendation

I need a phone with a large font option on the display. For anyone who used the old V60, you could press and hold the menu key and it would change font size. I tried on the new Motorola V551 and had no luck.

losing my job part 2

I know that if churn goes down in the region I work in I will be laid off. The call center I work in used to retentions and we did a good job. Just not good enough to impress the high-up and they assigned a former blue center to do retentions. I have to hope the company I work for fails to keep my job. Dang

Help with a 6010...

I didn't want to post in the Nokia forum because nobody goes in there.

I have a 6010 that is displaying a message that says "Allow SIM card to send message"

The phone gives me the options to either send or cancel. When I do either, the message will pop up in about 2 minutes. It doesn't say what the message is, or who it is sending to. Tech support has never heard of this. I am on hold with Nokia, but the wait time is like 20 minutes.

If anyone has seen this or can help me I would appreciate it!

With all honesty I respect the TECH dept. but really WHY did i have a TECH rep, transfer a call to the RETENTION CENTER??? for voicemail issues?? all i could do was laugh, but really with the limited access that we have to the systems. . . I told him what he needed to do. Really I could give a sh** less about an invalid transfer list, its ur job to handle mistakes by CSR's

If you really think about it 98% of the calls that you receive a day are from another REPS or agents fuc* up. . . all you have to do is just go to work and get ur benefits and ur check every week and just go home! If you spend your time stressing about your job all day then do something to he...

Ok, I was subjected to a ghastly vision yesterday, and I feel compelled to share it with the rest of the Phonescoop family. I can't afford counselling, but I need some outlet, or I will be traumatized for life.

A fat lady clip-clopped into my store yesterday (apologies to Al Bundy). She was wearing a light pink, layered mumu, and a dark pink mini skirt. This woman I would estimate weighed in excess of 300 pounds. Now, I don't mean to attack the obese. My point is this: just because they make it in your size doesnt mean you should wear it.
