Pathetic Website (ESPECIALLY the Graphing) ! ( long post)

For months the website kicked you out after the third or fourth click within the "My Account" section. 🙄 It finally seems that's been corrected. 😁

Tonight I was able to capture my monthly rollover activity ... adds, deductions & balances by month. (is there some way to simply download the data for the last six months???). 🙄

But after noticing an error in the site, I look to send an email about it. Click on "Contact us" then click on "Send email" and it dumps me out to the log-in page ... (guess that means I couldn't send an email about a log-in problem, now could I)? 🙄 So I log-in and go to "Contact us," click on send an email ... and it logs me out! (my bad - shouldn't I expect that?) 🙄

PUNT! S...

My customer is getting this message on four phones. The odd thing is he can call landline numbers on these phones, just not cell phones. Any ideas?

Cingular outage in Ohio and Pennsylvania area

There is an outage of voice service this evening in over half of Ohio and all of the state of Pennsylvania and portions of the surrounding areas...as told to me by a Cingular customer service representative at 9:45PM Eastern Time tonight, Monday, June 13th. The outage may last 24 hours, the rep told me, and that there is no credit issued for the significant loss of cell service.

It sure seems like millions of Cingular customers are affected. Hopefully there will be some good news come of this sometime real soon. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. Any comments or further information...please post.

850 and 1900 Mhz Markets?

Is there a way to find out what type of GSM tower Cingular has in a particular location. I know that in my hometown (Chicago) there is both 850 and 1900, however, with my parents summer home in Egg Harbor, WI (54209 zip code) I am not sure of what bands are being used by Cingular. Can anyone shed some light?

Thanks

Motorola A630B for Cingular customers!

For those of you that have been waiting for a compatible Cingular version to the popular T-Mobile version. Here it is:

http://www.mobilebee.com/PhoneDetailsID439.html »

It has 850/1800/1900MHz on the phone instead of the 900/1800/1900MHz that T-Mobile uses.

I thought I would help you guys out since yall were complaining that us T-Mobile customers had the A630, and that Cingular cancelled it.

Contract length

Is there anywhere in the "My Account" area of Cingular.com that it will tell you how much longer your current contract is?

Nigerian scammers

I'd post this in the general forum but no one would notice ☚ī¸

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/8171053/ »

This link is to a story about the latest cons and scams coming out of Nigeria. My store has already been targeted by several of these, so I thought it might provide interesting reading for other reps out there.

There are a number of links in the article to other articles on specific scams. I'd recommend them all - VERY interesting reading.

Has anyone else run into problems with these at their stores?

Tech support help!

I work in a COR store, and we haven't been able to resolve this issue, and I'm on the phone with inexperienced tech help. This customer has a cingular Go phone, the monetary balance is not an issue, we've tried multiple phones, brands and different SIMs, but it wont make or receive phone calls. It tries to connect, it fails every time. Anyone have any suggestions? The OTA has already been re-sent. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Commission = Great service at POS but never again.

Would most of you not agree that if not just Cingular but all business did away with commission that customers would get better service. When someone works on commission they will kiss your ass to get that sale and then a week or a month later when they know you cant return or cancel it, they could care less about your problems, cause they are not going to make anymore money off you.

Call Forwarding????

I was just wondering if there was a way to forward my calls from my Cingular (business line) cell phone to my personal cell phone (VZW) so I don't have to carry 2 phones with me everywhere on the weekends.

If there is, how much does this cost in order to do it?

Thanks,
Shawn

Cingular's Amazing Morphing Website...

I've found over the past few weeks that sometimes when I go to Cingular.com and check the phone list, it's different from the last time I visited (usually just hours apart). I noticed that the Nokia 6230 (which is the only BT phone I can interest my wife in) was listed for $99 after MIR, but 2 hours later when I got home to show her, it was gone. The style of the phone list page seems to have changed too--it seems like they start updating the page and then revert to an older version. I've cleared my browser's cache and such to make sure I'm not looking at an older version my system has... anybody else having similar trouble? Or, a more useful question, is Cingular actually selling the 6230 with that MIR that I can purchase over the phon...

sony ericsson t637

what is it replaced with if you have insurance. i heard it's not available anymore so would i get a different model or do they have some stored away in a valut of old phones? they say lock/line will replace it with a "like model of equal or lesser value" does that mean.. like.. i'll get a candy bar phone with a camera? or does it mean i'll get one from the same manufacturer?

basically has anyone had their t637 replaced lately and what did you get as a replacement?
