i have heard some rumors that the v6 will be here soon,has anyone else got any info about the v6?
also does anyone know when the black razr v3 will be here

I am looking at buying a 6230i.
Will the phone work on the Cingular network?
Can I use my existing SIM or do I need to get a new 64K sim card?

Does the phone need to be unlocked? and if so how do I get that done?

OK, this PAR silliness continues to expand. We've got multi-colored charts and "grades" we are scored on every day. And we're told that the big boss is totally focused on having good numbers.

Are we actually give good customer service? I know I'm not giving the customer as much as I used to. Go the extra mile? Sorry, I have to beat the fantasy numbers.

Now here's the thing, I know for a fact that in my call center we will start to see people getting written up and walked out the door for not meeting their numbers. But the funny thing is, no one can provide me with a non-verbal description of exactly how these numbers are generated.

I keep getting data calls from weird numbers. One was from another cell phone and the other was from a local elementary school. Should I be worried about these and how do they have my number? I don't really care about the school, but data calls being placed from other cell phones to mine scare me. Viruses and all that.

Getting a little "long in the tooth" I really wanted a 6230 or 6620 - and ended up with a RAZR V3 instead, ONLY because I really had a hard time trying to make out the Menu Selections, Verbage and Icons on the 6230 display screen.

I've had Nokia's for the past 13 years and am having a hard time trying to deal with the Moto's functionality (or lack therof) and their ****** address book!

Does the 6230 have ANY capability for making the screens easier to read (like larger fonts, solid white backgrounds with a "bold" typeface, etc, etc.).

I'm looking for ANY excuse that will make the 6230 more "usable" for me so I can return the V3 (even the call quality is very good)!

PAR... is it just me, or does cingular care more bout having low transfer/call time/availability/ hold time than they actually care about treating customers,
now yes i would definitely rather have a silent hold done to me than the actual hold music, but i mean, TRANSFERS AND SHORT calls, number 1, if a customer goes through the automated system and doesnt enter there information in (75%) they automatcially get routed top 2g i dont think the customers are getting any more happy with us saying " here you go call them yourself" honestly customer although mad because they are getting transfered around are going to be more happy if someone tranfers th...

Hey guys... I work in a call center and I am thinking of going to a retail store. Has anyone here went from CS to retail? If so, is the pay considerably better? I know I'd have to work for commission, which I've never done, but I know our company and the phones well. I think I'm stuck doing what I'm doing at the call center for a while and need more money. I don't want this to turn into a CS vs. sales thread, just trying to decide where in the company to go and what to do. I know of a few agent stores that do well in sales, but because of being a Cingular employee, I'd rather stay that way, but I haven't ruled that out as an option. I think there is a difference in pay being Corp. and agent, which also makes it a harder decision... Any feedb...

sorry cingular train us the basics very well so I'm going to ask a bunch of questions that might not be covered in the learning edge.. 😁

1. customers on a two year agreement.. 14th month the phone breaks no insurance.. exchange by mail cant be done. doesn't qualify for up grade till 18th month.. what do i do

2. mobile to mobile.. if a cingular customer doesn't answer from another cingular customer and goes to voice mail does it take away any mins

3. in opus.. customer wants to activate 3 lines on three different accounts.. do i have to run credit 3 different times? (i think its yes but is there a way not too, feel kind of bad)

4. those easy activations when a customer walks into the store and say "yea i ran credit yeste...

I am a content Cingular customer, for now, but can anyone help with a merger question on the Alltel forum, that forum is not visited very frequently as this one.

It's about an article about Alltel and VZW possibly merging, but again, that's only possible. After losing Cingular service last night in Ohio for over 5 hrs, I don't know how long I can trust my service. Thanks for any help.

I have about 4 hours invested now in phone time ordering a damned prepaid phone. They've botched two web orders plus two phone orders to try to unscrew the web orders. I'm 10 days into this process and they still haven't managed to get the order processed far enough to issue a tracking number.Now I'm on hold yet again for a supe to explain why the promo phone (C207) they just released on the web site to replace the phone no longer carried (T237) is also backordered.

Oh great - now the bippy **** supe tells me she knows nothing and can promise nothing.

I'm sure glad this is a prepaid order - no way on this planet would I trust these clowns with a cellular billing system.

I have a customer who has a gait phone. He can make calls no problem but if someone tries to call him it rings on the callers end and goes to voicemail but the phone never registers it even as a missed call. Ive checked call forwarding, call delivery etc.

Any Ideas?!?

So my shift was supposed to start at 1:00, I get here and Im all ready to go. My sup' comes over says there is no running water cuz a pipe burst, and I can go home with 3 hourspay, which I did and sat by the pool drinking beer all day. It was great.
