To Clarify about problems with Cingular

To all who do not know, with any carrier, all lines are contracted individually. If you get three lines at the same time, you have three separate contracts, all initiating and ending at the same time. If you add one line to your existing plan, the new line and the new line only will have a contract for whatever term. The other lines will expire when their date comes around. Also, I will always sympathize with Cingular because they are the company that has the largest digital voice and data network in the country allowing their customers to travel across the country and have service on all interstates and cities as well as offering EDGE Internet. Also when you are managing 52 million customers you will hear more problems than other companies ...

Rant about rude customers!

Pardon me for a minute while I rant. I am sick and tired of customers who call in yelling, screaming and cursing at me for something that I had nothing to do with. In the entire 35 years I have been on this Earth I have never cursed at anyone like customers have to me. It would never even enter my mind to do something like that. I admit I have become mad at companies, but I would never call in yelling and screaming. These type of people always say "I know it's not your fault, but i'm just so mad". Well, if you that mad find some other way to burn off your energy. Yelling and cursing at me is not going to help the situation. If anything it makes it worse because I am not as likely to go the extra mile as I would be with a customer who...

load balancing

Load balancing is when you change a customers primary network from orange to blue. Network integration is a process that as I have previously said is gonna take some time. But it you have a customer that lives in a low signal area for orange and a high signal area for blue. And you look at card and their PLMN is orange do a case in clarify to move them to blue PLMN. the downside of this is it is not reversible and if a customer goes to high signal area for orange phone will stay blue first. This should only be done as a last resort when everything has been tried. Or if the singalarea is so low that you think nothing else will work.

Best voice quality phones for Cingular?

I'm trying to see what everyone's opinion is about which phone(s) that Cingular currently carriers is the best when it comes to its primary function, call quality?

It would be great if there were some extras like a camera and EDGE speeds, but let's talk about actually hearing a voice instead of a high pitched sound and static...just the facts please.

v551 battery issues

i just got a new v551 and am having the same problem that many customers of mine have been having with this phone. I will make 2-3 calls during the day and when i wake up the next morning, my phone is dead and the battery drained. I have had many customers call me with this same problem and i am really at a loss for words for them except return/exchange. i have looked at the known issues but none are listed in our files. has anyone else seen or heard of this problem? anyone know why this is happening or a solution? i have charged my phone correctly, i know this for a fact. i need help people.

also, i am a att/cingular phone rep so i DO know all the obvious quick answers such as m-mode and camera ect. drain the battery and am testing my ba...

losing my job part three

Man in the Orange call center I work in theya re starting to take down compliment letters of the walls in the lobby. The place is half empty people are disapearing and nobody is telling us anything. I always see higher-ups whispering and being even more secretive than usual. Dang I think I need to touch up my resume.

YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO EXCUSE MY CAPS. BUT I'M PISSED. I AM SICK OF CUSTOMERS NOT BEING ABLE TO UPGRADE/MIGRATE ONLINE. THAT DAMN AUTHENTICATION PROBLEM THAT MAKES THEM CALL CUSTOMER CARE, AND THEN WE HAVE TO TRANSFER THEM TO SOME RETENTION CENTER. How to Prevent the Problems Steven had

Hey everyone, I'm going to let you know how you can prevent anyone from ever saying they didn't know the T&C. Well, this is mainly for those that work in the stores. Post them on the wall and by the racks where the phones are. Maybe one on your counter. They'll be there for the customers to read, and it's their choice not to, and it will be their problem if they didn't. Just like Wal-Mart has their signs that say you cannot bring back opened software and movies for a refund. The only problem is, it has to be where the customer can see it BEFORE purchasing the product. If it's hidden in a frame at the service counter, may not work. If it's on the shelf with the movies, the customer is out of luck. Let your boss know about this. Mayb...

Stephen5688 is a shining example of why all wireless carriers should institute a policy of making anyone who signs up for service take a IQ test first. Everyone on this site has told him time and time again to go back to the store to fix his problem. Yet, he continues to stay on this forum bit*h&ing and complaining about how Cingular screwed him. Please, for the love of God, get a life and go to the store. It will save you, us and the rest of free world the agony of having to listen to your complaints.

I am almost sure I am gonna switch from Verizon to Cingular next week. Mostly because of phone selection. I have actually never had a problem with verizon. Can anyone give me any insight as if I am making a good decision here. I am liking the sony camera phone or the Razor. not sure yet.. Will I be happy with Cingular?

Stephen5688 is not telling us the whole story. Why will he not go back to the store? I believe he is not telling us the whole story. Did he agree to a contract did he really agree to a contract? No one knows but him and the store who activated has phone. But against all common sense he will not go back to the store. Does he have something to hide? I think he must have something to hide.
