wow, why can't they delete this?

Hey on my account I have the "500 Kilobyte Media Package". And I've called in many times before and they say that their "computer" won't let them delete the thing (in other words take it off my account). The whole reason I want this deleted is that I want to add the "Media Basic." ID any of you reps could PLEASE try and take it off, I would be greatly appreciative! Honestly, I know ya'll have a hard job, and I TRULY respect that...If you need my cell phone number or any other information jsut respeonbd back...etc.

Need advice on Cingular

Ok, I am almost at the end of my rope with VZW and dropped calls.

I have a few questions before going ahead, and I apologize in advance if it seems like a lot:

1. Is Cing as easy as T-mobile about unlocking phones after a few months? (that VoiceStream T28W is falling apart...)

2. If not, what 3/4-band GSM phones are easiest to unlock?

3. Are they coming up with any new phones for July 4?

4. Do I need 32kb or 64kb SIM in NYC/Northern NJ?

Thanks!

READ YOUR DAMN INVOICE

READ 👿 YOUR 👿 BILLS!

it's NOT that hard. WHY call in and say... "why is my invoice so high" and go silent and wait for me to explain. pick up your invoice and look at it- then if you want to dispute it, you'll have an idea of what you're talking about. for god sakes, your full grown adults and you cant read your bill- or are you just too lazy? we're here to help with problems, not things your just too stupid and lazy to do yourself!

Has anyone ever had this problem?

I purchased a Nokia 6230 wih a GoPhone plan. I can make a recieve calls fine. But here's the problem...I can't access the wireless internet and I can send text messages but can't recieve them, eventhough the plan I paid for includes text messaging, wireless internet, etc.

I call Cingular Customer Care (7 times) and tell them the problem I'm having. They tell me that the problem isn't with the phone, but that having my wireless number changed might fix everything. So, I go to have my number changed, but the problem still exists, then I'm told that it needs a new SIM card, but my phone needs the "64K Gemplus Card". If anyone ever had this problem, I want to know what you had to do in order to fix it, because it seems like Cingular is giving...

Does anyone know if you can exchange a defective phone for a different model? I have returned this samsung e317 twice before, this would be my third time. Do they allow you to get a different manufacturer?

Yeah so the Cingular/AT&T forum is gone, alas my main forum for complaining is gone. Time to switch to this one now and flood my delicious complaints about customers here.

Please help, major problems with service

Hi all, I have a big problem with my cell signal in Salina, Kansas. I have a nokia 3595 and have the Cingular Family Plan GSM nationwide. If you check your coverage maps Salina is totally covered, but the signal here is horrible. I was on the phone this evening and I got totally disconnected 4 times within 5 minutes. What happens is the signal bar completely goes away and the Cingular on the phone even disappears. There are sometimes though, that I have full signal for a brief amount of time. But all of a sudden I'm back down to low 1 bar signal again. Is there anyway that I can get full signal all of the time in this situation? Also I have tried turning my phone off and on, and pulling out the battery and putting it back in and thes...

Cell phone mergers have dark side
By Leslie Cauley, USA TODAY
NEW YORK — To hear Cingular talk, its $41 billion merger with AT&T Wireless has gone off with nary a hitch.
Try telling that to Jim Felts of Lamar, Mo.

Felts was one of 6,000 AT&T Wireless customers who got dumped by Cingular when the merger closed in October. Cingular, owned by SBC Communications and BellSouth, agreed to the divestment as part of a broader pact with the Department of Justice.

The problem? Felts, a dedicated customer of AT&T Wireless, wanted to stay with Cingular.

When he called Cingular's customer service department to complain, however, he got another rude surprise: ...

Ok....WTF????

Did something major change in customer care today?? I've called in two times so far, got one certified idiot, and one person who barely knew enough to help me. I have also been informed that you can't backdate anymore. You have to do it from either today, or the next billing date and then issue the credits back manually....which is really stupid. WHAT IS CINGULAR DOING OVER THERE?????

Special Olympics and Recycling

Looks like some companies have teamed up with Special Olympics. They will be donating $250,000 to SO for the recycling program.

I was just visited by this today. The Motorola program has a little better benefit (up to $21,000 for each school) but has anyone seen if this SO program is national or just regional.

Thanks
