So they start this new thing at work. Pre-approved undertime. Great a whole day off you can ask for 7 days in advance.

Guess who's not eligible...yup that would be me. I work too late of a shift.

1st New Thread!...Cingular Coverage in Boston

New site looks great...too bad we couldn't get the old newsgroup content in here thought. So, I'll just repost:

Currently I'm a Sprint customer and I'm thinking about switching. I'd like to pick up an SL56 on Cingular's GSM service but I'm a bit wary about the coverage in the Cambridge/Boston area. I've heard there are holes in the Kendall Sq. area. Does anyone have this service in my area? I'd love to hear what you think. Thanks.

why do dealers hire the most stupidest reps?

Why does some reps are the stupidest people in the world? I use to be a cingular agent, after i quit that job, this girl got fired, and when i applied for sprint(i still dont know why i am working for them) she was working there, and feew days ago she got rehired, when i went to that store to get a copy of the rate plans, she wont give to me because i work for sprint. I am trying to get back to that job, is it wrong if i wish she gets fired??????

Another Recycle Program

I just noticed that my new Motorola V180 handsets now come with a prepaid recycle bag for the customer's old unit.

Just drop the old phone in the bag and stick it in the mail.

Anyone else see this type of process with any other handsets?

New NOkia Flips with No Bluetooth

Why are all the new nokia flip phones that we are suppose to get not coming with bluetooth? Seems in the past 3 months, that is one of the hottest features on a phone. I am an avid nokia person, and i have 6230 currently, but all the new flips for cingular (6101,6170) and some other models are not pushing bluetooth with them.. why would they not push it? i know some of the phones are low end to meet the needs of those customers like the x427 and c1300 are because they want cheap and flip.

what's the deal?

MOTO RAZR QUESTION

i have had 2 different razrs and they both made a strange noise.so i sold them.i miss the razr and would like to get the black razr,i was just wondering if any one has had this problem?and if you have how do you fix it?has moto updated/fixed this problem?does the black razr have any differnt "software to speak) to correct this problem.can anyone tell me what this problem is caused from? please help me. if not my other choice is the samsung p207 that i still really want also.i cant make up my mind.any feedback would be helpfull.thank you

Whats happening to all of you on this forum. Just sayin a quick whats up cuz i finally signed up for an account after being a viewer of this site for a lil while. While I do have a lot of good and bad things to say I'll just save them for the appropriate time. I myself am a former AT&T retail rep and tryin to adjust like everybody else. Looks like the majority of people that post here are in customer service but im sure we all have the same type of issues in one form or another. I'm also sure some may even talk sh*t about retail but its all good cuz we prolly do the same about u guys. 😛 but anywayZ I just wanted to say a quick WAAAASSSAAAAABBIII!!! and I'll holla at ya'll later. peace

the problem in Cingular Customer service

i think the biggest problem we have in Cingular customer service is we have become jaded. We are not putting ourselves in the customers shoes we do are not listen to customer's to find out the situation we listen so we can judge. The job of a customer service rep is hard to try to remain positive and open minded on every call. We hear lies from customers and we get con artists and jerks. Then a real everyday customer calls in with a problem and us reps are so jaded from the idiots that we have trouble helping the customer. I think I need to get better as far as being a little more open minded. I have heard other reps in this forum I think we all could be a little more open minded.

does anyone know? did it have too many defects or something? one person told me it was too expensive and not selling as well as the x427 which everyone and their grandma has...just curious.

New Phones Soon?

Anyone know if any new phones will be coming out for cingular? Their selection is kinda crappy as far as size and look. The phones are kinda big and bulky. I have the samsung e317 which is a horrible phone which they just discontinued and I am stuck with it. I already sent it back once to just get the same phone with the same problems? Any idea if any new phones are coming out? Any suggestions for a replacement that I might be able to get on Ebay or somewhere? I had the P207 but the call quality was just as bad.

New Migration Policy?? WTF??

Okay now maybe this topic has been previously covered and I might be late to the party but I have to express my outrage at this nonsense. I mean first Cingular was going out of there way to lure Att "holdouts" to now telling them that they have to meet certain "conditions" to join the Cingular side?? Someone please tell me WTF is going on in the Cingular offices?? I mean the new crappy price plans...$14.99 family talk add line fees...etc. Someone please slap the Sh!t out of whoever at Cingular is coming up with these "genius" ideas!!! Dammit man!! 👿 I love Cingular but they are REALLY losing their damn minds now!! Oh sorry for bringing up old sh!t again. 🙄 😉

Attitude Problem

You know, reading all the post on here, some of the people that work for Cingular have some real attitude problems. If someone comes on here stating a problem they have had with Cingular, or are asking a question, is it really necessary to belittle them and throw personal attacks? If you work for Cingular, you should try and help or at least let them know where to go to get help instead of treating customers like dirt. Yes it is true that there are numerous customers out there that do not deserve the respect that they are given, but, instead of going of on a tangent and making it worse, why not try to help. If most of the people on here are reps as they claim to be I really hope you don't answer the phones as you do replies here. Take it wit...

Returning a phone after the 30 day period.

I have a Nokia 6620 and I like the phone very much but lately I have been having some technical issues, I have several downloaded applications and stuff on it, but I dont think that these 3rd party apps are causing my problems, several times when people have called me I have answered my phone immediately after it rings and it will say that Im connected but I cant hear anyone on the other line and they can't hear me, the mute isnt activated and it doesnt matter whether Im using my BT headset or not. It doesnt happen everytime but it has happened several times in the last week. I dont think its a service issue because it doesnt happen with any of my other phones, my question is Can I return my phone for a new one after the 30 days and a second...

Ok I know a few of you work in Telegence. In training they told us we could change the bill cycle end date in certain circumstances. Same thing in CSP, yet it tells me im not authorized to do this....why?
