Does the unlimited data plan for $45 a month come with unlimited text messaging?

I am hearing alot of advertisement about Cingular buy 1 phone get another free. Is that promotion for new subscribers only 🙄 or also for upgrades 😎 ? BTW in the NC markets. Thanks in advance!

I just got off of the phone with Cingular customer care because my phone was not working properly. It constantly was telling me to insert the sim card when the sim was in the phone (this did not happen with my other phone, so it could not be a sim issue). Therefore, they decided to send me a replacement under warranty. All seemed well at that point.

Then the rep proceeds to tell me that if there is so much as a scratch on my phone, it will be deemed out of warranty and they will bill my account for $225. That seems a little crazy. I mean I understand that there needs to be protection for Cingular in the case of water damage or phone abuse....but I would have to keep it in some sort of plastic bag or something to keep it from getting ...

Personally, Im not sure if this is good or bad for cingular. Their old rate plans were pretty competitive with verizon except if you needed less than 1,100 minutes.

Now, all base costs appear to be exactly the same as verizon, except the added line is MORE!! Why would they do that? I am currently a verizon customer (unfortunately) and I was going to leave until this.

Even if you only need two lines, there is no advantage of going with Cingular, pricewise at least. and verizon has in messaging too.

I think this was a lateral move for cingular. Why wouldn't they at least match the extra line fee?

I think this is a mistake and they will figure it out soon. Anyone else think otherwise? personally, i would have done som...

Man its just getting tougher and tougher to be a legacy customer

We got a e-mail today, the north eatern market from Maine down to Washingto Dc, and all in between including the PA all got dumped into the new policy for migration

In order to migrate online through the web or customer care, you must be the following:

1a)if you had a 1 year contract complete 11 out of 12 months

1b)If you had a 2 year contract complete 21 out of 24 months,

2)and have NO past Due amount at ALL.

If you don't pass those 2 rules you can't migrate over to orange from blue,and unless you hacve a multi line or sharable account, you cannot get a blue to blue upgrade.

Can you feel the pressure building up? 😈 😈 😈

I heard that the Ens cards only pick up cinulars towers an that even though its suppose to pick up the stronger tower whether company it is it really doesnt is this true?

Yes, I'm a noob. I've set up the phone to recv e-mail. Aside from flex/flash/seems mods, what else can I do to optimize my experience? And are there settings that I should disable? Last, I signed up for 450 nation plan. It seems that the $7 extra nights wknds add-on is a good deal. Should I add it? Any advice is heartily welcome. Thanks so much to everyone...

can you have international long distance and international roaming on a pre-paid phone, or is that only available for post paid service?

First let me say that I was directed to this site by a Cingular CSR. I don't work in this industry as many of you folks appear to. Lots of great info here and I appreciate that. So, I get this lady who returned phones to a store in FEB and has yet to rec any form of refund. She says she's been calling in for months. The best is when she told me she was informed by the "refund department" that Cingular hadn't refunded her money because we had entered Chapter 11. We'll that's news to me, but it explains why nobody in my center has revd the last raise.

I've been happily using Xpress mail with my MPx220 for about 6 months now. Suddenly it stopped working and I can't access any of there web sites??

I even tried my laptop which does not have the xpress mail program on it and it can't connect to their sites either.(xpressmailpe.cingular.com)

It's almost as if my Linksys router is blocking access to anything xpress mail oriented?????

hey if a customer comes in and does a tranfere/ relocation do we get credit for a new act? and like wise if someone leaves my area do i get a charge back (within the 6 month) no one knows whats going on over here 😎

Cingular launched new plans... Trying everything they can to be Verizon's little brother... They had such a good pace going too... I hate to see them throw that 41 billion away only 6 months into the year... I guess we'll be back at number 2 by years end...

should get the v3 now.. or wait till the v557 comes out. i like the v3 because of its design, v557 because of its features i also like the looks of it too, with the rubberish feel lik the v551. which one would you get?? 😁
