what to do?

i currently have an att gsm $99.00 unlimited min plan with no contract, my problem is that i have a junker for a phone erickson t68i that needs replacing, i'd rather not give up my plan but at the same time my service has been inconsistant, and have been told that my service will improve if i migrate. but what good is a good service plan if it doesnt work? so do i switch to a plans? i use aprox 1600 total min, but my bills does not distinguish btwn night and weekend or mobile to mobile, i think that if i go to the $69 1100 min plan i'd be ok, assuming that i use about 500 of my mins during thost nights and weekend or mobile 2 mobile, but if it doesnt work out i give up an awesome plan. any advise?

My Friend Sam (A CSR Story)

Let me tell you about my friend Sam. Sammy's a great guy. He works hard here at Cingular, and he goes above and beyond the call to help out a customer. His stats are low because he spends so much time trying to actually research an issue and help a customer, rather than just zip them on and off the phone. His managers look past this though, since he's a great guy who's very knowledgeable and always does his job. Hell, he hasn't missed a day of work or been late for four years.

Like most CSRs, Sam makes just enough pay to get by and takes a lot of hell from most customers, even though he's trying to help them. His motivation for being patient and continuing to work hard is the fact that he recently started a college fund for his daughter,...

i just recently found out that cingular and verizon are doing the inter-carrier MMS
are there any other carriers cingular is doing this with or is it just verizon?

Switching over

Hi all, I'm probably switching over my wife and i on Tuesday from attws and was going to go for the plan with 1100 min. for about $80. Going to upgrade the our phones the razr. Does anybody know what the total cost out the door will be? I live in Rocklin, CA. if that helps. I was thinking that the phones should be about $400 and and with all the tax and everything total bill about $450. Any idea on discounts I should look for or other breaks I might catch? I work for ameriquest and was hoping that I might get an employee discount for my wife and I. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. 😁

i know that verizon has recently started this, so as a Cingular customer i was wondering if this was going to be introduced to Cingular anytime soon? thanks.

WHAT'S THIS PHONE NUMBER?

A co-worker of mine just got a customer on the line who had about $20 in overage charges, most calls made to 800-606-1282 repeatedly in one day. The customer denied ever calling that number, saying that she was getting a facial that day (no pun intended, I hope). However, when the rep offered to call the number to see what it was, the customer suddenly had her memory jogged and agreed to pay the charges before dropping the call.

So out of curiousity, we tried calling that number, but we're unable to connect from work or our employee phones. So I gotta wonder, what is this number?

Media Net Problem

ooooooook! Here's my problem... Way back when I registered with Media Net I signed up with a certain email address. I no longer have that email address. I forgot my password for Media Net, I cant get my password sent to that address because as I stated I dont have it anymore, is this an issue CC can help me out with or am I just plain screwed?

I also cant re-register becuase it says number is in use! Damn, I wish I wasnt so forgetful LOL 🤣 😢

Doh! Someone help, please!

At random times of the day I have been getting my banner switch from Cingular to Inactive SIM. Could this mean my SIM card is like breaking or something? It does away when I turn my phone off and on but its quite inconvenient considering I cant be looking at my phone all the time lol. But if anyone could give me some insight and if maybe I will need to buy a new SIM! THANK YOU!! 😁

Does anyone know how to look up an existing customer with just the phone number? any websites or anything that anyone knows of?

Poor Customer. :(

So I get a call that I figure will be easy. Customer says I ported my number over 2 days ago its still not active. Call PAC. She tells me that the cell phone company was renting the number from a landline company, and therefore it will take a minimum of 10 days to port the number. Also the customer must call back on the 10th day to activate the phone because a landline port doesnt automatically....problem is we have no way of knowing when we start the port that it will take longer than 24hrs (unless you speak to a pac rep and they catch it) so when the customer calls back days later and their phone still isnt working, and they find out they have to wait longer they are upset and angry.......

I can't blame her for being upset, I just wish ...

tdma phone in buffalo from kansas not working???

i have a cust in my store his tdma phone is not working ...whenever he makes a call it rings busy any idea...the other 2 lines on the account are ok.

Discounts

🙂 Hey Everyone, I work for a Radio Shack company. And I need help from folks in the know. We have several customers who ask about discounts for companies and government agencies they work for. The Cingular store here hates us. So they won't help us. I have been in customer service over 10 years and I hate with a passion not knowing what to do to help a customer. Just wanted to know if there is a list of webstie or something. Is there a wizard at the end of my yellow brick who has the answers?

whatever happened to....

Unlimited PDA Connect plans at $25/month? I just had a guy in that wants a treo 650, with unlimited data, N/W @7 and multiple lines. We both damn near freaked when we saw the unlimited PDA plan. I never keep up with the PDA plans really 'cause we never sell them, but for this big of an account I was planning on making an exception and special ordering for him, but DAMN $45 for unlimited data???

Anybody know if this is gonna change with the rate plans on June 1st? I scoured CSP for as long as the guy would be patient, but couldn't find anything.

thats all for right now that i can think of .This site used to be a good forum to get questions and answers ,but now its turned in to i hate everyone and nobody ever has the right answer (according to a few people) I just wish that when people are wrong and post incorrect info they can admit it and back-off not try to find every single little problem to comeback with !Grow-up or go to the forum of which company you work for (verizon) and leave us the hell alone. Let us go back to helping each other and customers...

where do i attain unlocking codes?

i know its been asked before a million times but i've never opend any of the threads. but where would i aquire the unlocking codes for the nokia 6820?

i have one with attws and i am migrating over to cingular so i want to use my cingular sim card with it. do i have to contact attws, cw, or nokia direct?
