I was a recent Verizon customer for 4 years, I have since left them for a new formed company called Cingular, even though the coveerage is not as great as Verizons analog (unsecured radio waves) I really like this company, I have heard many friends tell me how Cingular SUCKS!! but to be honest I think I should have made the switch long time ago. . Alot of people think that a cell phone is supposed to work every where they go. . .like there basement. Just opened my Cingular account with a RAZR & Nation 450 w Rollover. Seemingly stupid question: What plan should I add If I just want to check my e-mail 1-2 times a day? I average incoming 10 emails a day. I dont need to surf the net or download ringtones, etc. Thanks in advance!

Does anyone know the real scope on the Motorola V635? Motorola took this phone off of their hellomoto.com USA website. Plus, I called up Motorola and they said it will not be released for the US. But, some people are saying its coming, and this is striaght from Cingular. There are rumors that Cingular REJECTED the V635, since testing didn't go to well. To, me its the same as the V600 but with a better screen, camera, an MP3 player, and expandable memory. The operating systems has the same look as all of the Motorola phones. Nothing has changed yet. Someone please give the 411 on this story.

I was told this phone is not available now in MO from someone at the business center when I called in ( I am trying to get my employer discount applied to this so I have to use a different number/division than the standar retail center - or do I??? )

The reason that the agent argued with you is because the Nokia 6230 IS actually a phone that is capable of operation on 4 BANDs (quad) the phone specs are GSM 850/1900/1800

The phone can also access 800 MHz Cellular as well,
GSM 850 is simply GSM technology operating in the Cellular (800 MHz / 850 MHz) frequency band. Both the technology and frequency band have been around for a long time, but only in 2002 were they combined. While still being seperated in come foreign countries. I am an ATT family plan customer with over a year left on my contract. I go in the Cingular (former ATT) store on 4/23 to see about getting a replacement phone for my son's which was stolen at school. The store rep tells me that they don't have any phones that will work with my ATT plan. They said that to get a new phone for my son, I would have to migrate to Cingular, which required purchasing TWO new phones and $18 porting fee for each phone number. What?!?! and Ka-Ching too...but ok, my teenage son HAS to have a cellphone 😕

So my son picks his phone and they port his number and activate his phone then and there. He is already talking to friends on the new Cingular plan while I'm still trying to select a phone for myself. Decided...

Cingular is trying to make my family will have move to an Orange plan within a year. They currently use a Nokia 3200 and Motorola T720 purchased through AT&T Wireless. With the new plan, Cingular wants them to upgrade their phones.

While I will be using my unlocked Nokia 3620, I'm thinking which phones will they have to upgrade to.

Here are my thoughts:

Nokia 3200 -----> Nokia 3220
Motorola T720 -----> Motorola V551

Do any of you have suggestions?

If you are a customer that has been with a cell phone company for a couple years do not call and ask for a free 500$ phone or credit because you went over your minutes,or you were roaming ,oh and "i dint know i would be charged if i used my phone in mexico have gotten this crazy idea in their heads that we owe them free service and items because they have been loyal customers........WRONG!!!
