what would you like to see on the v3 upgrade? i would like a megapixel camera with video recording, as well as a memory slot. anybody agree? what would you do to improve the v3? 😁

Talks of 3G phones, networks, and plans are all about these days. So, does Cingular have the capability of bringing 3G to real life and to millions of people across America?

I think this is an obvious answser of yes. But the question remains, when and how much of the current GSM/EDGE network will employ the UMTS/HSDPA 3G network?

Other uncertainties seem to be what markets will see the upgrade first and what kind of phones we will see released. I've read a news article that Nokia, Motorola, and LG have agreed to being the first 3G devices to Cingular. Any word on what phones they might be?

OMG i must be in line for the Miscellaneous queue today , 1/2 of my calls relate to 3g accounts, fraud from visa fraud investigations dept, sales xfers, cofr bill payments from old acct holders, etc, and port backs and programming, i was refreshed this morning, now i just wanna sleep and theres still 1.5 hrs left 😡

LG G4015 or the LG G4020 - Are they only AT&T or can I use them with Cingular?

Well its official, the company is pissed off at Blue customers-We got hauled into a meeting( former blue reps) and customers on legacy plans have been doing stuff and blue reps having been helping them but no more.

What I am reffering to is if customers call in to change their plans, since all promotions are "expired" you are to tell the customers if they change they will lose them, and then note it on the account they were advised.Apparrently if they do it right away you have to remove the promotions manually, if the customers calls in about it, and then if it was done within 30 days they can revert back.

Thats why they want rate plans to be future dated as the NWRS team takes them off when you future date request.

Any idea when the rate plans are going to be revamped? The family plans are crappy.

I personally think that its a clever promotion an will work for vzw benefit. Now i know cingy wont put nothing like that in place for customers but why Im not really sure what negative affects a promotion like that will cause anybody.

I have seen this feature on my phone bill and just wanted some clarification. I was just curious how much it would cost if I ever used it. I searched cingular.com and found this.

So if I understand that correctly on my GSM Nation plan I would have my airtime deducted at twice the rate? Ie.. 2 minutes for each minute I have the 3 way call going.

A friend of mine uses T-Mobile and when he is roaming it often says ATT Wireless, while I know that as a Cingular customer I have access to both blue and orange towers. However, I am wondering when Cingular, if ever, will transition all the blue to orange towers?

OK so a few days ago there was a big discussion about Push-to-Talk NOT coming to Cingular. But Ive been searching on the internet and have seen some GSM phones like the Nokia 6230i and the 6170 that have PTT and the 850 band for America. And everyone is saying that the 6230i is definately coming to Cingular. Can anyone clear this up?

I called Cingular this morning to order Treo 650 and asked for unlock code (I'm leaving for Europe in couple of weeks, so I need it unlocked from the begining). They told me that they don't have this codes, and that for the code I should contact Treo support directly. OK, I contacted Treo support dirrectly, and was told that they can help me with unlocking procedure, but first I have to obtain unlock code from my provider...
Am I doing something wrong? 🙄
International plan is not the option for me, because I'll spent overseas 60-80% of the time during next 12 months and $1/min is too high for me.

Will this phone work on Cingular if its unlocked? Its a Tri-Band (900/1800/1900) phone. I know I won't have 3G capabilities in US, but just wondering if it will work or not? Where does GSM 850 coverage apply?

I'm learning that people are not that bright. Guy comes up to me a month ago. Has a V400 can turn it on. He says he is pushing the the power button and won't go on. I take it and turn it on. He's like...what did you do. I told him...pressed and held the red button for 3 seconds. He was like oh I was pressing the green button. Same guy comes in today. He goes it won't turn on. I've been hitting the bluemiddle/menu) button for hours and won't go on. I press and hold the red button again. He is like I am the dumbest customer ever. I didn't have the heart to respond.

Been checking out the signal from my new Cingular phone (S/E S710a) and it seems fine everywhere, except when I am in the main floor of my house. I've seen many posts about devices from Wilson Electronics that put an external antenna outside, and a 'repeater' antenna inside to get better signal. Do these work with Cingular? And how would I go about knowing which MHz band my phone is connected to?

From what I could discern, the devices only amplify the 800 MHZ band, and pass through the 1900 PCS band. I dont want to dump out the $$$ for one of these units ($400 or so?) and have it not work. Are there other manufacturers of these units that I should look at? Do any of you have experience with these? Will I still be able to access a...

I am attempting to connect my pda(ipaq3115) to my Sony Ericsson S710a, via the bluetooth to get on the internet.
The settings I was given were
Username: [email protected]
Passwd: CINGULAR1
Phone #: *99***1#
Extra String: &f&d2&c1+cgdcont=1,"IP","isp.cingular"
These work wonderfully on the v3, v551, and the 6230 nokia, but will not work on any s710a in our store.
I have tried in place of the 1 using 2, 3, etc....
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
