Can someone tell me if there is a data outage in zip 24501? The GPRS icon is blank on my s710a and has been for a couple of hours. My area was migrated from SunCom to Cingular so supposedly that is the problem but does anyone know when this will all be completed so I will have no more problems with my service?

If Cingular only allows you to add a line on plans $69.99 and higher, then why do they have the lower plans listed under the family plan list?

Would you ever discriminate against a customer for the following reasons:

Requiring a deposit for activation vs No deposit
Buying a basic phone vs High End phone
Having AT&T service vs Cingular Service
Customer who dresses down vs dressing up

This maybe a stupid question, But I tried a search and cannot find the answer.
I purchased my New S710A from the local cingular store about a week ago. I called up customer Service and got the subsidy unlock code (not easy but not impossible) They said I could not unlock the phone unless I put in another carriers SIM card. This doesn't sound right as I remember being able to unlock my TREO 600 by entering a few * and # along with the 8 digit number.
Does anyone know how it needs to be entered?

Hi all. As one very disgruntled former Verizon customer, I'm looking for a new carrier. I'm looking for one that lets me move my pics from my phone to my PC without charging me $0.25 per pic. Does Cingular let you do this? (whether by cable or bluetooth)

Also, how is their network coverage compared to Verizon? I live in TN if that helps.

I am through with posting here. I know the facts & the fact is that Cingular is #1. It doesn't matter how they came to be #1, naturally or not... #1 is #1. Verizon did not get to where they are by building naturally... They did it through mergers just like Cingular. At&t just happened to be a very LARGE merger. Yes, Verizon had many LITTLE mergers... but a merger is a merger is a merger.

You are all just jealous because you are now #2. I will not be replying to this thread...

I have the Motorola BT850 and I use it with both my 6230 and my RAZR. I need help with it pairing with the RAZR.

When I am using my 6230 and a call comes in, all I have to do is flip open the boom mic, and it pairs with the phone and answers the call automatically. I love this.

But when I am using my RAZR and a call comes in, I have to flip open the boom on the headset, then flip open the phone to answer the call. Is there any way to simply have it auto answer when I open the headset with the RAZR???? Please help, because I have called everyone I can at Cingular and no one has helped at all. ☹️

i have a v400 and nokia 6820 w/ chargers and belt clips for a good condition e317

so i have both phones...i got the v551 as an upgrade, i purchased it from motorola directly before cingular had even started advertising it...but i always liked the all silver of the v400 then the silver with blue trim which i had seen on the v300 from tmobile...

aside from bluetooth, which i have no use for

what are the major differneces in these two phones?

also, the v400 is able to get more ringtones and graphics from cingulars site than the v551, i dont know why that is, but if i say i have a v400 more ringers and stuff are avilable for me to download than if i say i have a v551

Well, I tried to order three of the new Samsung P207 phones from the Cingular web site but couldn't because my billing zip code didn't match the coverage area. This is because my billing zip code from Northern Kentucky doesn't match the Cincinnati OH coverage area. This is incorrect as it is the greater Cincinnati area and even when I entered my Northern KY zip in while looking at plans, their system forces me to Cincinnati coverage. Anyway, I call the phone number for help with web orders (again because the P207 is a web only phone) and a recording says they are having problems and disconnects me. OK.. so I call the number back and choose tele sales. I explain that the three phones I want are web only and the rep says "no problem" and ...

Is it just me, or am I the only one who has not recieved their phone yet? All of my coworkers have theirs. I called CS and I still get the same BS that they are working dilligently to finish the contest. For something that sinished in January, they are taking their sweet ass time. I was told also that they are randomly awarding phones. It it were not for bad luck, I would have none. Since it free, I guess I shouldn't complain......I'm just a little frustrated.
