Anyone know where I can get the t-mobile ringtone for my S710?

I thought this would be amusing at work, to have on my cingular S710a.

Did anyone notice...

The Audiovox 5600 was added to the list of Cingular phones? Do most of you reps in here have it in your stores yet?

Worth staying with Cingular?

All in all, i'm satisfied with Cingular's rollover mins and network coverage. They can't be outdone in that regard. Though as of late, i've been craving a nice flip phone, higher speed data, outer color screen, multimedia function (works well with mobitv) and a solid design.

So far, i've only found that to be with the Sanyo handsets on Sprint. Where I am is one mile from Sprint service, but i'm covered by Nextel (merger would affect me) in terms of coverage.

Is it worth me upgrading to a decent well rounded phone here at Cingular and keep my service, and skip on having a that solid featured flip phone? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

need help picking out a multimedia phone

My next phone i would like a multimedia phone because im really into text,pics,video etc. I dont want to spend 400 an less for the phone. I dont have a upgrade comming to me so i will be spending full retail for the phone. The p777 an the v635(if it comes out) are the two i can think of rigth now. The s710a is too expensive for me an the s66 is not a choice for me either. Can anyone else give me any other choices to look for an the phone doesnt have to be out right now.


ANY help will be greatly appreciated.

ETF

I've got some questions about the ETF. What is the reasoning behind it? Is it to cover lost revenue when someone leaves early or is it a type of penalty for someone that backed out of a contract?

And, on this topic, let's say I decide to cancel my contract right now. How long does it take before you can give my number to someone else? Does the FCC have regulations on stuff like that?

Moto v600 recall/update

hey everyone, i am about to get a v600 and i know that its been recalled and everything but i also herd there was an update for it not too long ago. does anyone know where these updates came from? via cingular or motorola? i herd that once the updates came the phone worked much better for cingular and tmobile.

my first moto was the v400, i loved everything about it except the battery life, so then i got the v551, loved it even more except for the battery life lol...but i hear the v600 has twice as long a battery life than the other v series phones and i've never wanted one until just recently and i am getitng one soon....

can anyone tell me about the update for the v600? and what happens when you have insurence on your cingular account...

Harvard Education

So I'm going round-and-round with this new migartion cust. His final blue bill was $49.01 and he paid it. If you don't see a problem with that then you did NOT get a Harvard Education. For some reason he insisted that something was wrong and loudly let me know that he was NOT an idiot and had gone to ... well ... you get the idea. Let me see, we send you a bill and you pay it. Yeah, there's something messed up about that. We better look into this. And of course he ended with one of my faves "I'll call back to talk to someone who knows what they are doing."

The way I see it, some people has a limited amount of "brain", and when they pile it all up on one subject in order to become an "expert" this leaves very little left over to do normal...

Our phone tree sucks

everytime i try to transfer a customer to what i would think to be the right person, it always ends up being some other department.


me - "hello, this is liam with telesales, is this NBO?"
rep1 - "no, you've got the wrong department"
me - "do you have their number?"
rep1 - "no, i only have a speed dial for them"
me - "can you connect me to them?
rep1 - "sure thing, hold one minute"
me - "thanks"

rep2 - "thank you for calling cingular...."
me - "hello, this is liam with telesales, is this NBO?"
rep2 - "no, you've got the wrong department"

Divested Markets

i only recently found out about this and am trying to find more information about it. i happened to be on a call with a technical support rep for telepos, and she told me that part of the problem was that we couldn't activate new lines of service in any area that was a "divested markets" when i asked her to explain more, this is what i found out:

when we bought out the virginia market from SunCom, the FCC stepped in and said we were becoming a monopoly so we had to sell off certain parts of markets to other companies, most of what we sold off went to SunCom.

so basically in what i found out we lost:
-oklahoma
-north and south carolina
-connecticut
-parts of georgia
-parts of tennessee
-most of kentucky
-most of indiana
-certain...

Update to Blue Irate/Abusive Caller Policy

Has anyone else seen this? We can no longer tell customers to refrain from using abusive language or threaten to terminate call if abusive language persists. We must ignore and escalate to manager in EXTREME situations. They might as well allow customers into call center to assault reps. Tell me your thoughts

Cingular tower locator-not Berkana please

We're currently on VZW, and not very pleased. I'm about at the end of my patience with them. Reseaching Cingluar, does anyone know where to find tower locations for Cingular (please don't give me Berkana, been there, done that - it's pretty useless for our area). Because of the lack of sufficient VZW towers in the area where we live, the signal is useless anywhere in our county we would need to use the phones. I don't have the patience to start the same game over with another carrier. Area is Dutchess County NY, near Poughkeepsie, Wappingers Falls, Hopewell Junction.

edge speeds

what is the max speeds you can get with edge?

i have a v551 and the speeds really dont impress me much. They dont seem much faster (if at all) than tmobiles wireless internet which does not have edge

v60 phones

Trying to help a friend with a 700 series BMW so I can ride.
The car comes equipped with a hadnsfree control interface that currently uses a V60s phone. He had to switch to Verizon to utilize this phone. He wants to switch back to Cingular becasue of service and coverage, but does not want to loose his handsfree features. Is there another phone that can be utilized with the BMW? Will a V60?, V400, v551 etc. plug into the V60s holder and the software be the compatable?

How Long Does It Take??????????

To get the unlock codes from Cingular when a person qualifies to have thier phone unlocked???? I called in over a week ago to get my RAZR unlocked (I paid $549.99 and have the receipt to prove it) and the girl told me that she would be back in touch with me in 5 days. I still have not heard from her!!!! 😈

Should it really take this long?

Alltel's Rate Plan Change..Doesn't Cingular Do The Same Thing To An Extent?

I was told I could change my rate plan anytime and would not be billed any pro-rated portion of the bill as long as I did it at the start of my new bill cycle which is at the 18th of every month.
