I've noticed the Nokia 6230 is no longer listed on Cingular's web site. Has this phone been discontinued. If so, is there another replacement by Nokia for this model coming any time soon?

Also, there is rumor of a price drop coming for the Motorola Razr. Does anyone know when this possible drop in the price is coming and what the cost would be with and without a contract?

A phone with a Cingular SIM will not get as fast of data speeds with EDGE, opposed to an ATTWS SIM because EDGE was originally from ATTWS.


...is this true? If so, will it ever be corrected to a manner where Cingular will get equal data speeds of ATTWS? Thanks in advance!

today (april 26) was the last day cingular can officially use the ATT name, even the website is gone.

A guy next to me got a call from a guy who was mad about dropping three calls that he made literally 5 minutes before he calls Customer Service. He's irate yelling and screaming (i can hear him over my customer). He asks me what should he do...

Me being a complete smartass to people who want to fret over three dropped calls...i say....take how many minutes he gets a month, divide it by how much he pays, minus his 15% discount a month and multiply it by the 3 minutes he lost during the dropped call.

So we're looking at a $0.27 credit...and the guy takes the credit. Is it me...or is this just...funny? 😈

Can anyone tell me how to do a master reset on a samsung x427m?

1) Enter PUK code. (this is not the same as your sim card number, childs birthday, etc.)

2) Lost/stolen phone. (you are responsible for any charges incurred until you report the phone lost/stolen to CINGULAR)

3) Add/remove features from account (this goes for rate plans too)

4) Troubleshooting the phone. (please dont think you can do this on your own then get mad at me because something is no longer working)

5) You read One of "you know who's posts" and actually believe him.

Is it just the Dallas market or do other markets have a new menu with agent q? Before when you called it would dial direct to the 1st available rep. Now there is a menu you have to work through. Just curious.

Please, can you please explain to me why before the pending M &A (Merger, and Acquisition) of these two companies did you never express admiration for Sprint's wireless unit. Was it after you found out that they owned Nextel, or was when you realized that this ailing soon to be conglomerate was in need of some moral support. Indeed, they are. I have skimmed over some of your posts, that Sprextel, will inevitably take the communications sector by storm. I will para-phrase some of these far cries for every one.

Customer is trying to download a free download from a star wars convention (giggles) and it says internal service area. Am I right in assuming this is an error from the site the download is coming from?

Just spoke to my Cingular IAE and my Moto rep. It appears that the Cingular branded version is not comming period. Others have already advised this forum that it was not comming, but there was talk and proof that a Cingular branded phone existed. I guess I will have to stick to my unlock T-Mo branded version. 😕

Has anyone else looked at their May handset pricing? I am looking at the sheet for the Dallas market and am shocked at what I am reading.

New phones - Nokia 3220, Audiovox SMT5600, nothing is listed about the Moto V635 Moto a630, or LG7100, or Nokia 6230i.

Moto V3 - down to $299 w/ no MIR.
