Man am I embarrased for Nextel Text Messaging!

A spike in spam volume over the past several weeks is hindering the ability of Nextel Communications' customers to send and receive inter-carrier and intra-carrier text messages. The problem, which Nextel says started in mid-March, is resulting in several hours of delays in text message delivery.
A Nextel subscriber who contacted Wireless Week said that text messages are often delivered several hours late and arrive all at once, typically in the middle of the night. I think it is great that so many people want to come to America...but the only thing is that the main language is English...

Got a call from a man who's trying to download pictures from his computer to his phone via USB, and is getting "the file is too big" error messages. I advise him that, well, the file is probably too big for the available memory on his phone. He says "But I thought the cable takes care of that." Silence for a moment as I digest this, then I inform him that there is nothing in a USB cable that can possibly change the size of a file being transferred through it, and that he might want to check out that attractive mini-Frisbee that came with the cable for assistance in resizing the pictures. I guess the tiny connector fooled him into thinking only tiny pictures could go through into the phone......
