im looking at buying an S710A unlocked from ebay for $400 although the review was not the best due to the large size and bad battery life? are there any alternatives to this phone that are smaller w/ better battery life? i only need megapixel camera really....

I originally bought the Jabra FreeSpeak 250, and I had alot of problems with static through the headset when I had it paired with my Nokia 6230 and the phone was in my pocket.

So....I exchanged that for the Plantronics M2500. While the static was reduced somewhat, it was still there and this one falls off of my ear when I am walking around or if I move my head at all. Jackie tested this one for me before I bought it and said that she had no static problems with it paired with her 6230. However, I did experience some static problems with it.

i have a vga camera phone and was wondering what is the cost range for a megapixel cam phone form cingular?

I've been taking calls in this center for over a year and a half. I just had my first call where a woman reported her phone lost, having just flushed it down the toilet! According to her, it is now "somewhere in the pipelines under Los Angeles."

I told BusterHyman about this call, and he turned red with laughter!

So I went to cingular.com to find out what my monthly bill will be & I am suprised at the amount of taxes. My plan is as follows:

Everyone knows that ATTWS was a dying company anyway & of course Cingy has to clean up the mess. It is to be expected that Cingular is at the top of the pile o crap. ATTWS is gone & things can only get better from here... hopefully.

I think we can all agree that Nextel18 is here for one reason...to annoy us all to hell. This guy's done what he does best in two other websites and has received his walking papers from both of those sites (www.howardforums.com and www.ideninsider.com). Just wondering if any of you COR reps have heard the vicious rumors about closing locations. I work in WA at my local Wally World 👿, and we keep gettin Wal-Mart employees comin up to us asking "What are you guys gonna do when we take over?", "When are you guys closing down?" etc. The same goes for a bunch of other Wal-Mart locations. We know we're getting shut down, and Wal-Mart is putting in their own "Connect" wireless provider, but our Management (:lol🙂 keeps blowing smoke up our ass when we confront them. As a Union member, I am entitled to at least 30 days notice, but some people are saying next week we'll all be out of jobs. ANYWAY....have any of you guys experienced any similar issues?

Ok, does Cingular power down some towers at night or something? Maybe because I mostly use my phone at night, but this is getting rediculious! I had 4 dropped calls tonight, all in a row. After 13 minutes, silence, then call ended. Is there anything I can do? I have a Motorola V400. I have changed my network settings to 850/1900 and do the powerdown and all that stuff. I think I have about 4 months left of warranty on the phone, and then another 16 months left under contract. I'd hate to change providers, since Cingular has some really good service peeps (except the last girl I called, sounded like she didn't want to be there, but, you get them every now and then). Does anyone have any remedies for me?

So I migrated from ATTWS on Friday. What happens if I end up not liking it? Can i go back to to ATTWS within my trial period? Would my account be put back EXACTLY as it was before?

I just recently got a new V551 from Cingular to replace my old V400. I plan on selling my V400.

When I put my SIM card into the V551 or any phone other than my V400, it shows the "My number XXX-XXX-XXXX" on the screen when I power up the phone. But it doesn't do that at all with my SIM card in the V400 (it shows the number when I put my friend's SIM card in).

Does Cingular have my IMEI number assoicated with my wireless number?

Do I need to let Cingular know that I am selling the phone?

How is Cingular service in the NYC/Westchester area? I have Verizon which is good but the phones suck. Thinking of switching to Cingular but am hearing many complaints about carrier service and customer service. Any advice?
