At what time does Cingular tend to offer good deals?

I know that Verizon tends to have the best deals and promotions around Christmas, but rarely at any other time of the year.

Do Cingular stores have any pattern, any good deals coming up soon on T637?

I'm thinking about switching from Verizon to Cingular. Amazon.com usually offers sweet deals on the phones, but it is not clear whether (or how to) port my existing number from Verizon when I sign up for a new Cingular service through Amazon.com. Has anyone done that before? I'd appreciate any advice.

From what I gather you already work for Cingular. As it looks like about a 90% chance that I'll be selling service for Cingular soon I have to ask. How is it working for them? What I've seen makes it seem like a sweet place to work, but of course every company wants you to think that when you're coming in. Always good to have an inside opinion.

This may be a simple question 🤭 but how people call me when I am in Europe from my home USA area or from another area code in the USA - if the home area code people just dial my regular home area code number will it find me in Europe or do they have to treat it as an international call, an dial the 1 and the country number + my number

Does anyone know yet what the Cingular/ATT combined network is going to look like in the NC and VA areas? I live in NC, but all my family's in VA and they'd love to get on Cingular to talk to me for free, but right now it doesn't look like Cingular has it's feet in that door. ATT does however and we're all curious as to how this is going to affect us.

i noticed there arnt any tdma phones listed under cingular. has cing stopped selling TDMA?

I can't get on the Cing. web site I figured well my ordered has not been entered yet. I check my credit card they charged my CC three times with $200 !!!!

For the simple fact that I have forgotten...who was Cingular before they were Cingular...I.E. Cellular one to Airtouch to VZW

Upon the closing of te buyout of AT&T wireless. first of all no one is getting out of thier contracts because of the buyout. AT&T customers will have a choice they can take a new cingular plan or they can leave their account as is. Cingular customers will be able to move to a AT&T wireless plan if they want to. There will be no customer out of contract because of the buyout because T and C's will not be changed.

Check this out, this is something all off us should think about.

I was hoping that someone could tell me when Cingular is coming to Arizona. Also, will this be before the buy-out is complete, or is will they just be getting here via the ATTWS buy-out?

I have Sprint and love it, the only company that interests me at all besides Sprint is Cingular.

If they get here before the buy-out is complete (in other words, if they cared enough to come to Arizona before thinking about buying ATTWS) I would consider switching to Cingular.

Please give me any info that you can.

I read in this newspaper the other day that this customer went into a Cingular store and tried to get service, then asked why VZW's coverage was better. The Cingular reps then called the customer a monkey. wierd employees. 😕

I've been told that Cingular requires all of their indirect stores to sell Cingular exclusively (no other carriers at all). Is this the absolute truth? And if it is, do any of you think that this will change with the acquisition of ATTWS? It seems to me that since ATTWS didn't have this policy, Cingular will be forced to close a lot of indirect retail doors that formerly sold ATTWS along with Verizon or whoever else. I personally manage a store representing ATTWS, Verizon, and T-Mobile. I would love to offer the Cingular product once they take over, but I will not be willing to drop the other carriers to do so, especially when Cingular will be brand new to this market and we will basically have to start from scratch. Ok. I really am intrested in the nokia 6620, if it ever does come out, will I be able to get internet access through my phone on my mac laptop through bluetooth? I would ask a cingular rep near me but they seem to be idiots. This just uses my minutes too right? I don't have to change my plan or get some new feature. I sure someone out there knows.
