Moto V600:No-contract purchase price in Cingular store

What is the price for a Moto V600 in a Cingular Company store or at an authorized dealer? Will you sell without a phone contract? Or do I have to go to an independent mail-order dealer like the ones with ads to the right of this post?

relocations - For my fellow Cingular reps

Ok, I was thrown a curve a couple of days ago. I had a customer come in to relocate her service from my old market (West Texas) to my current North Texas market. So far so good. Before I called relo. I got her into the GSM Nation Plan, with a few verts, and sold her a Nokia 1100 (I know, but she was cheap!). Still no problem.

I call relocations and they move her service with no problem, however she told me that she was not elligible for a new handset and a discount with a 1 or 2 year agreement. Now, If all my training serves me correct (Timslo), aren't we suppose to treat them as if they are a new customer? I bet I have done 20 or so relos. in both of my markets (since Texas is a big state). I have never been told that they are NOT ALWAYS...

International roaming

I was planning on traveling internationally and so I called a Cingular Rep, and he told me that I had to be 6 months into my contract for me to use international services. Is this true? (I am 4 months into my contract).

Cingular 's Plans for the new cingular.

I work for cingular customer care and what is going to happen is there will be three types of customers. Once the merger closes
Orange- Cingular customers who have cingular price plans and use cingular services.

Blue- Customers that are AT&T customers that use thier product line and services.

CSE- Common service customers will be new activations that will be able to choose which companies plans they like.

And both companies customers will have the option of switching to yellow or blue plans.

These are the early plans for the newcingular subject to change of course.

Disappointed with Cingular!!!

I am seeking input and advice as to where I can file a formal complaint . I have been a cingular customer for several years and have been very satisfied with their service. A few months ago I added a third phone to my plan. At the time it was never explained to me the phone I was buying was a GSM phone. The first month the roaming charges were expected because the carrier was out of town, but last month the bill came with more roaming charges. I phoned customer service and they graciously removed the charges, explaining to me they were also completing a trouble ticket that should solve the problem. This months bill comes and more roaming charges!!! I phone Cingular again only to hang up frustrated and highly disappointed. They will o...

coverage in summit NJ

I am currently with Verizon, who I must say has excellent service throughout this area but has really poor choices in phones. I am looking to get a GSM phone and need to decide between ATT and Cingular.. I realize they are merging but that could take any amount of time and my main concern is service and charges. Any information/advice would be much appreciated. I know that Cingular phones are cheaper than ATT, but would be willing to pay extra for reliable and quality service. I don't think service in NYC will be a problem, but what about throughout NJ?

Thanks in advance,
Zoidy

Rollover Minutes

I'm trying to clear up one of the rules that applies to rollover minutes. Do the minutes expire 1 year from when they are originally earned or do you lose all minutes accrued after a one year period?

CINGULAR BILLING

I work for cingular wireless customer service. I work with cingular's billing systems every day. For the most part our billing is no better or worse than any other carrier. We have rollover minutes that puts a lot of stress on the system. But I beleive all in all it is not perfect but pretty close.

Recommendation for Non-Camera Phones

Does anyone know if there are any camera-free phones coming soon to Cingular? Given the rapid pace of places banning camera phones, including many that I do business with, I would like to upgrade my phone to the best non-camera phone available. I currently have a GAIT T62u, but with the recent completion of the GSM overlay, I would like to switch to a GSM phone. If there is anything 'cool' in the pipeline, I would be inclined to wait, but if all new phones are going to be camera phones, I will likely choose from the current offering.

Does anyone have any inside scoop on phones to be released around Christmas time? Do you think the v600 will be the big release of the year for Cingular?
