Is it worth waiting out T-Mobile?

Evence once TMo continues to roll out 3g coverage, are there many phones able to support AWS/1700Mhz? From what I can tell from trying to check out upcoming phones, there really does not seem to be much out there (and there are of course only a handful available now). Given that the 1700 spectrum is, AFAIK, unique in the world, is it worth "hoping and praying" for more phones that support AWS or should I just bite the bullet and go to AT&T where I can enjoy a pretty broad selection of 3g compatible products (especially unlocked ones)?

Blackberry Curve 8900 & wi-fi & data plan required?

If I want to buy a Curve 8900 is a data plan required to activate it, and do I have to keep the data plan on the account to use wi-fi?

I'm curious about this because AT&T says you have sign up for a data plan when you buy an iPhone and maintain it for the life of the contract.

T-mobile GPS?

Does T-mobile have anything like the VZ Navigator? And if it does, what phones are compatible?

New Phone + New Company

Hello All,

I am having trouble deciding on a few things...

I am switching from Verizon wireless to either At&t or T-Mobile. I live in the twin cities area of Minnesota.

I am not sure which company I want to pursue, it kind of comes down to phone choice at this point.

I am looking at either the Blackberry 8220 flip on T-Mobile or the Nokia 6650 on At&t.

Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I sure as heck hope the G2 has UMA. I need it for my home...but maybe not. Every phone I've had for my house has had really poor reception, so I've has to get a UMA phone but my wife G1 always has at least two bars, maybe the G2 will be that good?

unlimited 49.99

My sister called CS and they told her about the unlimited minute plan for 49.99 and she decided to just switch to that plan. So my question, is there any catches to this plan? Does it extend her contract (because they didn't tell her very much) and what exactly does it include? Thanks for the help all

I am trying to decide...

I have been with sprint for a while. And this last year or so they just keeping getting worse and worse. I am trying to decide who to go with. T-mobile OR Verizon wireless. I have heard many pros and cons about both.

I would just like to know from you, the users. What do you like, and dislike about T-mobile? How is the service in the city, and out of the city? Please let me know anything you DISLIKE about the SERVICE. Thank you 😎

Prepaid or E-Bay?

I picked up a unlocked Moto Q9e and want to see if I can get everything (MMS,SMS,Internet) to work with it without signing a contract and probably only using TMO's service long enough to see if it'll work.

So witch would let me do that? Any prepaid TMO SIM?
They're all over E-Bay, I'm looking at the one's with some dollar amount attached to them and not an prepaid activation kit.

MY opinion of the main problems of the 4 major

Sprint: Customer service
Verizon: Price
At&t: 3g speed/strength
T-mobile: Lack of 3g and premium services.

Just my little rant, tell me what you think...

caller tunes!!

whats up people!!

so i have two questions, first i have a subscription to callertones with a jukebox of callertunes that alternate but lately for the past several days people have been complaining to me that when they call me they dont hear anything, not even the regular ring nor the song and dont know if the call went through or not! 🤭 ...is that do to with my phone? is that a technical problem with my phone?...and the second question is...i have a sidekick and ofcourse i have my email to it....can the sidekick get a virus like a computer...because it download the entire context to my sidekick even some attachment...so, not to sound stupid, but can my sidekick get a virus or trojan horse....cause i do get alot of spam too...

Can data plans be used for multiple devices?

Specifically, can I use both the upcoming Tmo 3g modem (for my laptop) and a Nokia N-series (which would be the original device on the data plan)? From reading the info on the 3g modem, I can't tell whether they require a separate plan just for the modem itself.

UMA vs. Femtocell

I think this has been discussed already, but I'm still puzzled as to why t-mobile continues to support UMA when femtocell is rearing it's head in every carrier. I know it was a breakthrough when it was first released, but femtocell requries no specially equipment and no additional battery consumption. I think t-mobile would have a LOT more success investing in a femtocell-router type device and charging that $10 monthly fee for it. even with the additional $10 most people on t-mobile are still saving an insane amount of money over every other carrier.

Can I get on WIFI in a wireless area, or check google email WITHOUT getting data plan on WIFI phone?

I'm wanting to upgrade my phone but mainly so that I can check my google, yahoo, etc.. e-mail and be on the internet in a wireless area, but I don't want to get the data plan. I would be happy just being able to surf the web on the phone at home where I have wireless. I have been told 50 different things by different reps and I need a solid answer before I decide to get a phone or not. I'm mainly looking at the Blackberry 8900, the Blackberry Pearl flip, and the Samsung Behold. Any thoughts? Thanks.
