I was wondering about using tmobile UMA phones and making calls using wifi. Are the calls unlimited only on tmobile wireless networks or will it work if i catch a wifi signal, say, at my job? Thanks.

So what handsets are being released 1st quarter for 09? I need to know because Im in the market for a new phone. I currently have Helio and I am leaving them. They suck horribly.

After 6 years of being with a Carrier that till date, is still building its way up the ladder especially when you consider that all the other Big Carriers out there (AT&T, VZW and Sprint - Nextel) in the competition are already at a 3G or greater network, I have finally taken action on my promises time and again and ported my service to AT&T on Friday, the same day on which my Contract was up with T-Mobile.

I will agree that T-Mobile "may have" deserved the best ratings in the area of Customer Service when they are approached for resolving any outstanding issues the customer faces but their network (both coverage quantitatively as well as the nature of it (i.e., 3G vs. EDGE)) was the real deciding factor. I currently have Tmobile pre-paid service, since Jan 2007. I have a Nokia 6030 phone which I got new. I don't use the phone much, just for calls to home and to work. Phone (and service) had been working great, until about 2 months ago:

1. The phone has no service in places were service should be available (i.e. my room, which is 4 blocks away from a Tmobile Tower.)
2. Sometimes when I do have service, I can't make calls because of "Error in Connection".

Is it my phone, or is it the Tmobile service? I used to sell Verizon Wireless/Sprint PCS at Radioshack a few years ago, and I know those to companies didn't allocate the same resources as they did with Post-paid services (features, network coverage areas, limited CSA...

Does anyone know which phones are next to be released for T-Mo? I'm just wondering if there is anything worth waiting for or if I should just pick up a G1 or something similar..

I'm with VZW currently, but I really have not been using the "network" as much as I have been but I am constantly using my phone for other things like music player, phone and camcorder.

What is the best camera/music/games phone for T-Mo? I would like at least a 5MP camera, a camcorder that can record 480P @ 24FPS, a good screen and ideally wi-fi with full web functions.

😢 I heard from a good source we are getting the bold if not the bold the 8900. Can anyone conferm this please. Becuz the g1 is ugly as all hell and the behold is garbage. Can we at least get a phone the looks like the beold but has the wonderful feature of a g1 😁 , or is that too much to ask for 🙄
