I am thinking about switching to nextel. What is the service like in the rio rancho area. The coverage map shows it is ok but want to here from people that use it there. Do they use the sprint network now? Can you call other nextel customers in other states for free? Any info would help. Thanks

Hello Nextel friends. Have you every attempted to do an online order through the Nextel website? If so, you may have noticed when you get to the shopping cart area of the order there is a section that asks if you have a promotional code.

WELL, usually, I never have one of those codes. I see the place to put them almost every time I order something online, but I never have the code. Heck, I never even know where they come from. I guess I'm out of the loop. However, I actually have one for Nextel. Apparently you can get them through email exchange with customer support.

Anyhow, my buddy got this and gave me the code and I tried it myself, thinking it would only be for one time use, but it worked! Anyhow, as expensive as cell phone servi...

Will be moving out of state to an area that has neither sprint or nextel service. We called Nextel to have service canceled, due to this. There reply was "It's our choice to move..." despite the fact that service is not offered there... Is this right? I thought carriers took into consideration if the area you live does not have service.

Why is it that sometimes when people call me after the third ring when the call goes to voicemail they here "Please hold your call is being transferred to an automated voicemail system" and other times the call goes straight to my greeting and they don't hear "Please hold your call is being transferred to an autoamted voicemail system"?

A little about the nextel partners?? In my area Nextel website redirects you to another website. (the coverage is horrible) But what exactly are Nextel Partners? Would my bill come from them or from Nextel? If Nextel partners own towers why not just open their own wireless? Any explanation would be greatly appreciated?

can i get the 875 or 855 and when i turn 18 can i put that number on the phone. If i cant do that can I get a contract and a real cheap phone and put that chip in my boost, will it still work.
