Today i was told since i have the Blackberry with a Fair and Flex Plan i dont get Local DC mins...But i pay for 10.00 extra for NationWide Unltd DC mins...But it doesnt include Local Area..So I askd NationWide doesnt mean NJ (since this is where i live)...

So I can go to CA,FL,WA,GA,TX and not get charge for my DC mins. But when I am in NJ(this where i live) I get charged because my plan doesnt have Local DC min..But i pay for NationWide Unltd DC mins

and the customer Serv tells me yes this is correct..

So i say what does NationWide mean. everywhere but the current state u live in to SprinTel..If so

They have a long way to go...

Hello! I am switching to a different provider and want to sell my i730. Can I go ahead and put it on eBay to sell it, or will the phone be locked to my account until I get and pay my final invoice? I know that the phone uses a SIM, but I know that on Sprint you cannot activate a phon eon an account that has not been paid. Thank you for any insight! 🙂

So i just got my new blackberry 7100i and I love this phone. But I hate the cheap nylon holster it came with. Does anybody know when or if they are making a plastic holster because this thing doesnt even swivel.

How do you switch out of the Sprint service to another carrier with no penalty?...

Last week I switched my Sprint account to Nextel. I still owe Sprint money for the last billing cycle, that is usually around the 7th of every month. Do I pay Nextel what I owe to Sprint?

Also, I just looked over MyNextel and found that Nextel has MMS compatibility with the other 3 major carriers. I tried to send a pic to a Moto RAZR from Cingular but my friend did not receive it. Any reason why? I have an i850 with the Data Access Pack if that helps. Thanks in advance for any help.

Currently i have Cingular and i am unhappy with my phone. It is always breaking and i am sick of sending it in to get it replaced. I am considering dropping my service and switching to Nextel. I do a lot of text messaging and i want to make sure that i get good phone signals. Does anybody have some advice about whether or not i should make the switch? Any advice would be appreciated. I was wondering about SIM card compatibility. I have an i730 for my company phone and was considering purchasing an i850 off of Ebay and doing a SIM card swap, is the same SIM compatibly with both phones?

I keep receiving text messages from people outside of the nextel network (cingular, verizon, etc.). I never have any idea who they are from though because the phone (i730) doesn't tell me. If I receive a text message from another nextel user I at least get their phone number so I can figure out who it is.

Is there a way around this with the i730? Do the newer phones have this problem? I'm considering the i560, i850, and i870.

Sorry if this has been answered a million times, but I need some clarification. I am currently a Nextel customer that came on before the merger. I live in Columbia, SC and want to switch to Sprint(PCS?). I called the customer service # at both companies and received conflicting answers regarding termination of my contract. One person at both said No problem, no fee,no activation, just pick out the phone you want and come (or go) over. Another person said I lived in a Sprint Affiliate market that operated much like Nextel Partners did, so I would in turn have to pay a fee.

I know you guys can give me some guidance. What's the deal? Who is right? Thanks! 🙂

I was wondering if anyone had any information about using the text messanging feature on the i930...I seem to always get the message that "this feature only works on GSM service"...Well everyone knows that Nextel is iDEN...Someone please help me!!!!

So I just got off the phone with the NPAC to get a number finally released from Nextel. One week they want a passcode to release numbers, this week they say the pw must be removed to port.

What gives? Why the game? I understand if you have a 50 line account owned by a company they want to keep Joe Schmoe from taking his number when he quits but some single line account? In a personal name nonetheless.

I say the same thing to everyone who asks about how to port OUT of Cingular. Keep your account active until you port and you will be fine (and we hope you decide to come back one day) and that is it. Nextel makes you jump through hoops on the way out and it leaves a pretty bad taste.

Nextel, the No. 5 wireless carrier, said it ended the calendar year with 16.2 million total subscribers, including some 15 million Nextel subscribers and 1.2 million Boost Mobile customers.

Of its 2.9 million total additions, the Reston, Virginia, company added 2.2 million new Nextel subscribers and 755,000 new Boost Mobile service subscribers.
