Actual web browsing for iDen phones?

😲

Could it be that regular web pages (with images) might be possible on iDen phones?

Has anyone tried it out yet on an i730 or like phone? If so, which flavor (Basic MIDP 1 or Advanced MIDP 2)?

Thanks in advance for the info.

PLEASE READ: SCAM ALERT

Dear all:

A friend of mine recently recieved a call on his T-Mobile phone from someone claiming to be from T-Mobile. My friend posted what happened on his livejournal:

"I just got a call on my cell phone from somebody claiming to be from T-Mobile and claiming to offer me a rebate. Being the suspicious person that I am, I noticed that something didn't sound quite right about the situation. He asked for my name and social security #, which I did not give. I pressed the caller for information (ie his supervisor's name, and how he had my address), and he hung up, knowing that the scam was up.

So if you're a wireless customer and get a call from an unidentified number from somebody claiming to be from your carrier, hang up on them, or b...

What are you going to do?????????

Hello,
I have heard fro a very reliable source that sometime soon (end of 06-07) Your good friend SPRINT is planning on selling the i-den network to the government in a ploy to get the current i-den users on their "push to talk" It this is true I feel sorry for all of the customers on the i-den network
So let me know what you think.
Thanks and have a good day

Counting down the days....

Well at the end of March I will be saying bye-bye to NEXTEL. Their continued lack of capacity in South Florida which causes me to drop calls to no end and their in-ability to remain operational after minimal CAT 1 and 2 hurricanes, while other carriers remained operational, is causing me to switch.

I had the opportunity to demo the Cingular PTT and honestly it was pretty decent and light years of Verizon PTT that I demo'ed a few weeks ago.

Their family plans, rollover minutes, and M2M look very reasonable cost wise and even though my NEXTEL plan isn't set to expire for another 2 months, the rep was very helpful as he saw that I knew the technology as well as he did and I did my homework.

I will continue to look at all my options ov...

Boost Phones On Nextel?

I seen a thing on sprints site that says you can bring your boost phone to the nextel network. But a sprint rep said it cannot be done, that boost phones do not work on the nextel network. I need a nextel phone. I was thinking that it would be great if I could get a I875 and use it on nextel with my old sprint number!!

New Equipment?

Is it my imagination or does Nextel have the slowest release of new equipment. Either completely disolve the company and do away with the phones, or come up with some new ones.

Will this work?

I know nextel phones all have different sim cards (well, not individually, but different sets of phones use different cards), but i was wondering if I could put my i760 sim card into a new i860 and use that phone?

Don't you love it when........

Don't you love it when a customer comes in the store and says "I just got this i530 and I don't know how to use the 2-way or setup my voicemail. Can you show me how to use the phone?" Then after asking the customer where they bought the phone, they say "walmart." Walmart: zero cost equals zero customer service. That's when I tell the customer to go back to Walmart. Walmart doesn't give a F*%K about the customer when they walk away from the counter and NEXTEL stores don't give a F*%K about customers with Walmart phones. What does that tell you? Buy your phone from a Nextel representative who will glady show you how to use everything and make sure your satisfied. If you want to get a $50 phone for free and get left with your thumb up your a...

No More Unlimited plans?

I have noticed the plans for nextel are getting worse. I currently have the unlimited minutes for 99.00 with local long distance. They no longer offer that plan but I still get to keep it. Also this morning I noticed their 199.00 unlimted plan which gives you everything is no longer offered.

This is dissapointing because I went with nextel for their contractor style rugged phones and the unlimited plans because of the amount of minutes I use for business(about 3500-4000) a month. If these rates keep getting worse I would have to consider another carrier.

Nextel told me I can keep my plan thru 2010 but after that I would have to switch to a plan they offer. Also I cant even upgrade my phone because when you upgrade, your plan starts o...

Help with finance department

😡 New here, sorry for the long post, but I need suggestions. Nov 1, I called telesales and ordered a i870. It was to be delivered in 2 days. On the 4th day I still had not rec'd it and called back. Telesales informed me that the order had been canceled, but they would place the order again. I rec'd 2 phones. I tried to connect one of the phones with my car's bluetooth, but did not work properly. I called telesales and got a return authorization for both phones, and returned them within the 15 day trial. My next bill came, and I was charged for the phones, but not credited for returning them. I called back, and was informed that it would take 2 to 3 billing cycles before they would be credited back! I paid the airtime portion of my ...

New Sprint PDA Phones with Palm OS?

Is there any news of Sprint releasing a new Palm OS PDA phone? I am sorry if this is an old question, but I have heard rumors of the Samsung i505 and i550, but do not know if there is any hope on the horizon for someone like myself who wants to combine their PDA with their phone. Even though I am sure that it is a good phone, I am not a fan of the Treo 650 and like the clamshell style phone much more. Thanks for your help!
