I see plenty of alltel ads here In the mile high city on tv for alltel, however I checked the website just to see what kind of coverage they have, and it says they dont offer any service at this time to Denver.

So why would they be advertising so much here?

This may be a dumb question but how do I set this thing to home only or automatic b? I've tried to go to the phone preferences, but there is no spot to select what I want. Is this some sort of hidden feature?

🙂 I was talking to the reps at 800-ALLTEL1 last night and the rep accidently leaked that the Treo 700 with palm software was supposed to be released today. I pressed for more info and it seems it will still be the same price as the 700wx for now. (which I hope goes down soon).

The ringtones completely suck! They are called stupid names like "bossabutgo" and "tea at 6" and they all sound boring and horrible!

The camera takes forever it takes at least 5 seconds to open!

The mp3 player is so dumb! IT takes like 10 seconds to open and stops and closes when you get a text message!

The predictive text does not spell simple words like yummy and katie and stuff like that!

You cant set mp3 as ringtones would not be so bad but since all the ringtones suck it is a big deal!

Thanks in advance for your help but i have one quick question i have unlimited text from alltel but i have a state plan only so if i go to Chicago, i live in SD will i be able to use text messaging there!?!?!?!?! The rep said taht as long as alltel has a data agreement with another conpany it will work but i am just wondering!?!!?!?! I am guessing since chicago is a pretty big business place they would have data agreements there so that my texting would work!?!?!?! Thanks!!!

I just got it today after my third motorola 815 broke in one week! I love it it is like smaller than the razr and super sweet~!

This is the third phone in a week! First i started out with the razr but the 5 key broke in like 5 hours from texting so i went in and traded it in for the 815. YSince i got the 815 it was having screen issues like it kept going white and i would have to turn it of. Today i got a new phone again, the 815 that actually works hopefully! I am really sick of this thought!

My brother was able to play with a demo phone at a retail store, but did not have the specs and I've looked all over the net to no avail. Does anybody know the specs of this flip phone and when it will be released?

I originally got the silver razor but i figured out it is a piece of crap! I hate razors! I paid 129.99 and then i got a 50 dollar rebate so it was 80 dollars! RIP OF! I went from a 6255i to a razor and i felt that i was degraded so i traded my razr in for the E815 now i feel better! The razr was crap!

I've heard from a couple of friends that you can get just about any CDMA phone on any CDMA carrier, all that you have to do is activate it. If this is true, then can I go out and buy a Samsung Helio, and activate it on the Alltel network. I am very curious to see if this is possible, because as stated many times before, Alltel's phones, blow.

Let me know if this is possible or not worth the time.
