I know it is somewhat of a common topic on here, but does any one know if Alltel is supposed to be releasing any new phones by Christmas? I know the Krazr just came out, but im just curious.

saw the KRZR for $149 and the RAZR for free on www.midusafreemobile.com, how can they sell the phones so cheap, I am going to order new phones from them!

I was wondering when will Alltel have EVDO in Columbia, South Carolina. Verizon has EVDO here already so I was hoping alltel would be getting it soon!

Ok so today I went into the alltel store again because my 6255i wouldnt do a prl update! Since I purchased the phone there 14 months ago, they could help me. So they tried connecting it to the computer to do a prl update. No luck. It turns out that nokia had somehow blocked a prl update on my phone. The store manager, who also knows me because my friend/old neighbor used to work with her, and she had met me before at social events throught my neighbor, said that she could give me one of the "old" phones lying around. She said it would be nothing like my 6255i, but it would get me through my contract. She went back into her office and came back with a Kyocera Slider Remix. Which phone should I go with? I'm switching to Alltel this week but I don't need a top of the line phone with all the bells and whistles. I just need a phone with some fun features and one that works well to make calls and text people. I'm undecided between the Razr and the Samsung U420 Nimbus.

My brother had his phone stolen, what does he do, he does not have insurance. He already had it disconnected. But can Alltel provide a loaner?

i have the KRZR and yesterday my signal changed from "D" to "EV". i looked in the manual and it didn't have that icon listed. i wasn't able to check with the alltel store in my area because they were closed for some odd reason. i know its not roaming unless alltel just left my city and every other city close by. any help would be great.

I have a 6255i and I'm wondering about upgrading to the KRZR. Does it have roaming/analog signal with it? I travel out to the country to visit my grandmother sometimes and have to call places. My 6255i has a signal option. I'm just wondering. Btw, personally I live in a big city so of course I have a good digital signal there 😁 .

I went into the alltel store today with my parents cause we were so fed up with our degrating service since the cell one/ alltel merger, and so since we are still on a cell one plan, we can buy out our contract. the way they figure it out is when we first signed up we got 2 LG 3200 for 25 bucks with a 50 mail in rebate, and my dad kept his own phone. So they took the full retail value of the 3200 which was 99.99 when we got our phones since it was just phasing out, and they subtracted the 25 dollars we payed so 99.99-25=74.99x2=150 so we have to pay 150 to end our contract 10 months early! And we had to pay 0 for my dads old 8900 cause he brought it with him to the contract. So now I am going to sell my beloved Nokia 6255i and a Mot...

I am new and thought I would say hi! I have an alltel 6255i and I love it! I dont really like alltels coverage, but I love their rate plans and of course the 6255i! I just love it! IT rocks! It is also my radio, ipod, and instant and text messenger!

I realize this may be a question that is asked a lot, but the other day i stopped into a retail store and asked if they were aware of any new phones coming out in the next month. She told me they were going to get a new razr and the motorola Q. Then I called about 3 weeks later, and a sales rep told me she heard a "rumor" that a new nokia is coming out. So I was just wondering if any one knew what phones are coming out and when.

Is the only cam push to talk phone for Alltel the LG AX355?

Well, looks like another one has jumped on board. Catherine Zeta-Jones can beat up the alltel guy anyday.

I am a bit out of the loop with the latest on Alltel, but my instincts tell me they could be going national with the buy outs and marketing campaign they have had lately. I live in the Baltimore Washington market and Alltel has been advertising in our region even though this area is not one of their markets.

Hi! I work at verizon in ND! I had alltel (cellular one) before I came to work at verizon, and so I didnt cancel my alltel service when I started working at verizon. Originally I worked at an independent agent for 5 yrs, and so i didnt get a free verizon phone and verizon min, and since alltel is cheaper (it was a cell one plan) I got that instead. 3 weeks after I signed up for a new contract in Aug 26 of 05, I was offered a job at a cooperate verizon store! So now I have 11 months left of my alltel/cell one contract. I want to know if the ETF is cheaper as I get closer to my end date!
