My choice is to leave Alltel and join my lovey on Cingular or join her on Alltel, and if so do I wait for good phone or is Kyocera KX5 or PPC best ones?

I played with the phones and reviewed the data plans and have decided to go with the KX5 unless something better comes along.

The PPC-6700 would just cost me too much because $39 data plan, and then I'd have to add a $24 unlimited smart phone text plan.

I'd rather just keep things simple with the all access $19.

I feel the Moto E815 is just a hyped up V710. I compare Moto and their razers and V710's to the New Balance 991's of college campuses.

I think companies like the Kyocera (KX5) and hopefully good Nokia and LG phones are the way to go.

So now I wait until the 18th before I decide which phone?

Effective April 2nd, all Sales & Service Reps and Universal Service Reps merged into one position: Wireless Consultants. USR's were once paid a higher base salary with a lesser emphasis on sales/quotas, while SSR's were paid less base, but higher commission.

This affects USR's the most because they were never accustomed to selling, rather taking care of inventory, repairs, etc...
Also, imagine you've been with Alltel for say 15 years as a USR and you make $20/hr. Alltel would drop your base to $13/hr and tell you to immediately sell to meet quotas you've never seen, or be placed on a PIP and later be fired.

I have successfully made a dial-up networking connection to my Razr via Bluetooth with my PDA, but can you connect without DUN and use the mobile web connection and still access the web through the bluetooth connection?

A friend of mine recently left Verizon's service in Harrisburg, NC, just outside of Charlotte, and went with Alltel. He told me last night that Verizon uses Alltel towers there, as I do in Charlottesville, VA, since Verizon does not have local service where I live. However, my understanding was, your phone will work on either, so if he still had Verizon and used Alltel towers, the reverse would be true as well. No? He claims he got no service in his house on Verizon, and no problem now with Alltel. Would it not be the same in either case? Please explain.

However, I would like to know

1) Should I wait, will there be better phones SOON?

2) With the PPC, i eliminate the all access 19 but add the all data $39.

3) Does the wifi work unlimited in other words when I'm at home I can connect online as much as I want, free as long as nights or weekend mins?

4) Or does the data plan afford me unlimited web access without wifi?

Which would be best phone for new purchase? Or to wait for a different phone?

Thing that worries me with PPC is not being able to send pics or text messages?

cingular recently announced that they are diligently waiting to shut down their analog and TDMA systems in 2008. That's fine for cingular, because A: their customers are used to not having service in a lot of places and B: none of their phones are dual-mode. The FCC will no longer require carriers to support analog as of March 1, 2008. Digital coverage is pretty good here in Ohio, but I still hit analog sometimes on those dark, lonesome highways. What will Alltel do? 2 years isn't a lot of time to stand up to north america's analog network. i'm sure verizon is eager to throw the switch...

I have the HS500 and it will not work with the razr. If you call moto they say that it is a known problem with that headset and the only one that will work with the phone is the hs850 and they will send you one. I flashed mine with the new software and have warranty replaced my headset twice and still it no luck.

My battery goes dead 2-4 times/day pending how much usage. What is the best extended battery to get off EBAY, this is the original OEM 3.6v battery thin, I want something that LASTS!

But her contract with Cingular does not end until May 15th. Would Alltel buy out the remainder of the contract so she could join now? And then I would like to giv e her my V710 and take the new PPC-6700.

Would like to sign my GF up for Alltel new service come April, any local reps can give us a good deal? And I'd like to give her my phone and buy the new one, good deals please?
