Anybody want to trade it for their Kyocera, Razr or PPC6700 or 6255i?

I visited Alltel today and was told that I'd have to get the $59 data unlimited plan with the PPC or Treo 650 due to the fact that it's always on Push technology so it would run over your minutes. And I was also told this $59 data plan would have to be in addition to the already unlimited $19.99 access pass as it does not cover text & photos.

Since Alltel updated their Web Browser start page I've not been able to get online since, with the web broswer, authentication failed, can somebody help me? I have the all access pass.

I do not have Alltel service, but I do use Verizon out of the DC market. I utilize I-64 almost on a daily basis between Charlottesville and Waynesboro. About the time I hit the Crozet interchange, my service, which roams on Alltel, drops the call consistently. This is an area where towers could be built that look like trees so as to not stand out and be ugly. I am aware of the mountains and the problems around Afton/Wintergreen, and I don't expect my phone to work there while I'm on I-64...pretty tough to get a radio wave through the mountain pass, but the other location, what's with that? I would be willing to bet that the Alltel customers in the Charlottesville market have the same problem. Would love to hear some reaction to this.

i have alltel, its national freedom 600 / texting whatever i aint sure that shouldnt matter tho.. but i can send text, but pictures won't go through anymore. they both used to work but now only text can get through and not pictures.. what do yall think?

I would love to buy this phone but worried I may have to pay $160/mo just for a plan being a voice plan and a data plan plus the all access pass.

I had a customer call and tell me that Vzw is buying Alltel's simple freedom customers and now they are getting screwed anyone confirm or provide or any info

Which one should I get?

I heard through the grape vine that there were 4 new phones coming out does anyone know what they are?

Alltel announces contract extension related to sale of Austrian business

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Mar 01, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Alltel (AT, Trade) today announced that its subsidiary, Western Wireless International Austria Corp., and T-Mobile Austria GmbH have agreed to extend their agreement related to the EUR 1.3 billion cash sale of tele.ring, Alltel's Austrian business, to T-Mobile. The new termination date of the purchase agreement has been extended to May 15, 2006. The closing of the transaction is subject to review by the European Commission and is expected to occur by mid-year 2006.

I get a new phone in the upcoming months, and I have begun doing some homework.

I want a good quality phone with all the perks (camera and such) and I am willing to spend 100-150.

A question I had was this MobiTV, is it new? Is it worth the $9.99/month?

Has anybody heard about any new Touch 2 Talk phones coming out soon for Alltel?

I live in the triad area of NC (Greensboro, Winston, High Point) and am shopping for family wireless plan for my wife and I. We have not had wireless phones for several years. For our use, 500-1000 minutes will do and no wireless web, etc. is required. Good coverage throughout NC and SC is a priority.

My company offers a discount to employees on Verizon: 900 minutes for $58.59 per month. A comparible Cingular plan is $69.99 for 700 minutes, but has rollover minutes. Alltel weighs in at $69.99 for 1000 minutes, no rollover.

From reading here and talking to a few friends, it appears that Alltel has the best coverage of the three in my area. The only promotion offered when I spoke with an Alltel sales rep was adding early nights/w...

I would like to get the PPC-6700 and would also like to have my employer work discount applied to the price of the phone. Can somebody help me out? Work me a deal? Could also trade in my V710
