Sharp GX-32/30... there's always something better on the horizon!

For all those waiting on the V600, Motorola's been well and truly overtaken! This phone is also quadband, and beats the proverbial out of the V600 (megapixel, video recording, camera flash, external SD card, dual color display, real addressbook). Only negatives are no speaker phone and (imo) the styling.

Looks like it's already released in Europe and HK. Unfortunately it's rumored to be going to be exclusive to Tmobile here in the US, and it looks expensive to buy unlocked.

Register deadline

Since you can't register a phone you can't buy yet and the deadline is March 31, 2004 to register the phone you can't buy yet...Something doesn't make sense, or is it just me? 😕 Also, what about the people who already got the phone, can they register their phones with Motorola.

.23R Flash

Does anyone have any information on positives or negatives of the .23R flash over the other firmwares floating around? Has anyone flashed to this firmware yet? Additionally, has anyone found any of the flashes that seem to be elusive at this point in time?

Somebody help--all Phonebook entries get transferred to General category!!

No matter what category I choose to place a phonebook entry in, it winds up being in the general category, and when I try to change the category, I can't get anything to stay in any category except general. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? Anyone have any ideas how to circumvent this?

How do you flash?

Maybe I shouldn't ask this or maybe it's OK but how can you flash the phone?

Do I need a specific cable?

Any Chance?

My husband and I are heading for Vegas for our 25th on the 30th. What are the chances that I could by this phone in Vegas if it's released on the 30th or 31st? Just curious if anyone lives in that area and has any information... 🙄

Has anyone flashed/flexed ...

... their v600 from plemix from firmware 1CR to 1DR? Do you see any difference?

(The only thing wrong with 1CR right now is that the voice mail icon doesn't always go away right away, even when my voice mail is empty, and I think this is only a v600+AT&T problem ☚ī¸ )

Cassie 🙂

Does it matter that I have MPT installed already?

Thanks in advance,

ER Flash Version

I spoke to a firm in CA., today that will upgrade your Flash to the ER version for $30. They don't sell the flash directly, you have to send them your phone.

Has any located the lastest Flash version?

by the way

Thanks to everyone who's helping with advice and links for flashing and flexing. It's hard for many a newbie to understand. I do love the phone. With the mac it's awesome for file exchange and being able to use literally anything as a ringtone is incredible. I really don't understand why people are looking for site where you can download free tones, unless they have windows machines and it's difficult to do. On a mac you can convert any file into the proper audio file for transfer and with garage band, you can compose your own music and convert and send to the phone. plus with Wiretap, you can make a file using audio straight off any cd or dvd. it rules.
