Motorola V600

Does anybody know the latest S/W and Flex that is out on the v600's now?

Check this out. Some idiot is willing to sell you the "release date" for the V600. Only $2 what a bargain! I swear, some people are real morons! 🤣

has anyone found that when they assign pictures to catergories, that the catergories all change round, so that the pictures are now under the wrong catergories, and then when u sort them out, they change back again! 😳 Also, has anyone else been getting random scratches on their screen? I keep getting them 😳 ALso, whats the deal with the fone only holding the amount of msgs on the simcard, but yet u can have over 100 in the outbox! Is there anyway to get around this>? Someone please reply!

I'm working through the MMode setup as we speak. Do I have to setup my new phone to use each individual application/functionality? After MMode is setup, can I send a text message to an e-mail address? Another cell-phone, etc......What about message with pictures as attachments?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I just spoke to an AT&T tech rep (trying to shmooze for the newest flash), and she gave me some story that it is "illegal" to flash a phone with software from a country other than the one the phone was manufactured for use in. Does anyone have any insight on this issue?

Has anyone had any signal problems with their v600. On my other v600 I am getting great reception but on another one I am getting nothing. Sometimes the bar is full and sometimes I can't even make a call. Anyone know what to do about this? Had the phone with cingular software and gave the same problems. I have T-mo so I had a guy put on the T-mo software. Still same problem...

Has anyone had any luck setting up the POP3 email? I can get it when I go thru T-Zones, but no luck on the GPRS POP. I have send port at 25 and receive at 110. I have tried receive at 143 also. Howard Forum, was great for T-Zone and MMS set-up, but would like to get mail without going thru T-Zones.

Any help is appreciated.

Hi, I have a Motorola V600. My mum just puchased a Motorola V600 today.

I have been comparing the phones, and to be very honest,, the V500 screen is alot brighter and slightly clearere than the V600 screen. The zoom on the camera is more blurred on the V600 than the V500.

I thought the V600 screen would be alot better than the V500 screen, as it is alot more expensive,

Pleas help me out guys as I am very comfused. Its as if the v600's contrast is lower than the v500's, but i went to settings-initial setup-brightness, and changed them both to 6.

The v500 screen was still alot brighter than v600.

Today, the demo phone, box, and slicks for the V600 arrived at my "a" store in Bowie, MD. I'd have to imagine that other stores will have it by the end of the week.

Ok, I just got a second V600 from Plemix, but this one is different. It has the "green" start up screen as my first, but it doesn't display the date on the home screen. Instead it displays GPRS. What's up with this?

Also, I can not find anywhere what version FLEX on it. It doesn't give me the option like on my first V600 from them

I'd appreciate any info.

[probably only the other people who've gotten their phone from plemix will know what i'm talking about..]

do any of you notice a problem with the colored back plates? the silver one the phone came with fits just fine. when i try to put the blue one on it doesn't fit right on the left (looking at the back) side. the problem is the hole where that black thing pokes through isn't large enough. it's larger on the silver plate.

does anyone know what that black cap is? i was thinking it was a hookup for an external antenna? not sure. i tried to twist it off or anything but it doesn't move and i don't want to force/break the phone. i can't find any reference to it in the manual either.

Congratulations to all of you who bought from Plemix.com. Is there any chance that one or more of you would post pictures of your V600 for the rest of us to see.

Some of you have had your V600's for a month or more and no pictures! What gives? Even if it is to torture those of us who are still waiting.

Just saw the V600 in a phat farm commercial with Russel Simmons. There is a guy in there holding two motorola phones. One is the V600 and the other is the silver motorola nextel phone. The V600 had the phat farm logo on the middle of the phone right above the circular lights....

Well, I guess everyone is buying the phone from Plemix, so this is no big deal. But today, in AT&T's National Retail Website (Our intranet) An announcement was made that stores should recieve V600 materials (demo's, etc) no later then March 26th.

I guess the Motorola rep was not lying to me after all. And the Motorola CEO's promise of the phone in 30 days is accurate. Let us all pray that the phone works well, and is not buggy.

With 2 year contract, the phone will be $300. If you are still within your Plemix return policy by the time the phone is released, you can save a few bucks. Be sure you are clear with them about that.

Our prayers are answered. The phone is finally here.

ok.. i'm having problems sending mms messages.

i set up both mms and mmode via the config page. under web sessions i have both AWS MMS and mMode GPRS, both are locked.

with either one picked, i can't seem to send a mmode message. the web site says to have AWS MMS selected.

under Message Setup I have:

service centre no: +19078319301
email gateway: 000000
use gprs: no

what am i missing?

someone had told me the trick of using PST to remove the web session providers. does anyone know what to remove to clear out the list of email providers (messages->email setup). it's full of providers i won't use and i wanted to clean up the list. i can't delete them though and i can't seem to find them in PST.

Was told this site may have the answer, or what may lead to the answer as far as mac-v600 bluetooth communication. Still don't have my phone yet so I can't try, but honestly, I don't really completely comprehend what most of there scripts and apps do...but I'll bet Cassie does.
And Cassie, since you're looking for this answer too, I thought I'd pass it along, you could hopefully decipher it, it would work, then when I get my phone, you could translate the answer from computer-phone speak into English for neophite--and in way over my head--me:

Has anyone been able to figure out how to keep their v600 discoverable/visible for more than 1 minute (through the "Find Me" menu?) ... I want to keep it permanently on, so I can be bluejacked ;)
