I'm seeking expert V600 advice...

Any straight answers, sound-offs, speculations or expert guesses to any of these questions would be much appreciated:

1. Any one using a V600 (Factory, unbranded, OEM from Plemix, ACS etc) on CINGULAR?

2. Feedback on Cingular setup - voice, sim, MMS, web, wap, whatever?

3. Purchase experiences from ACS, Plemix etc?

4. Anyone have info on Cingular release of V600?

5. Will it be delayed in porportion to ATT delay, or will it come out on Cingular's scheduled date anyway - disregarding ATT's alleged window of exclusivity to offer the phone?

6. If you were in my shoes (eagerly awaiting for V600 to use on Cingular) would you:
A. Wait for cingular
B. Wait and buy ATT version
C. Go ahead, splurge and buy from Plemix, ACS?...

Some more notes..

The phone works fine with my Jabra 200.

The built in games are:

PrinceOfPersia
BoBoBox
HoleIn1Golf

There are strange markings above the letters. I didn't notice them at first. The look sort of like accent marks or squggles. I'm guessing they are for text entry in Asian languages. The phone has 3 built in languages, English and two Asian languages, no idea what they are.

Ther are no brandings on the phone (which is great!). The outside has the double triangle Motorola logo and the area by the microphone just says V600 on a dark grey plate.

I called AT&T to activate MMode, they said it could take up to 8 hours. I tried to use http://support.attws.wdsglobal.com/ and haven't gotten a message yet. This is probably why.

I match...

The Best v600 Deal?

Now that quite a few of you have acquired a v600, who has the best deal currently? By best deal I mean cheapest phone with the most accessories and least hassle. Thanks.

V600 on T-Mobile Need set-up help

Any clues as to how to set us the MMS,internet and email on the V600 for t-Mobile? I tried to goto the www.hellomoto.com and UK link and use the operator settings, to no avail. I see a post for the ATT mMode, but was curious if anyone has had luck with setting it up for T-Mobile. I bought mine through plemix with ease and fast delivery.

Any posted help will be appreciated.

PLEMIX-Hong Kong

I ordered my V600 yesterday at 9:00AM. I got my FedEx number for delivery tomorrow. NOT BAD.
What I was surprised about is that it is being shipped from Hong Kong. Is that the same for all you who ordered from Plemix?
I can't wait.

delivery attempt. :-(

well. fedex attempted to delivery my phone at 8:30 this morning. unfortunately i was at work. they usually come by my house in the late afternoon and i would have been home. since it was an international package they won't leave it at the door.

so from ordering to delivery attempt about 48 hours.

now, unfortunately, i have to wait until 5pm so i can drive out and pick it up. 😢

ordered mine today..

😁

was away for the weekend, boy what a flurry of activity. want to thank cassie and everyone else for the positive information.

ordered it from plemix.com. i figured at the $575 price, with a headset, it's going to still come out cheaper than locking myself into a 2yr contract with AT&T or anyone else. now i'm free to come and go.

hopefully i'll see it in the next few days.

Now I have to figure out who's service I want to go with, AT&T or Cingular.

Yeah Baby 2 !

Got mine this morning too. Looks much better in person than even the pictures. I'm going to test it out with both my AT&T chip and my T-Mobile chip and will check back later! The label under the battery confirms that the 1 year warranty expires on 4/30/2005. Maybe a sign of the AT&T Wireless release date, eh? None-the-less, Plemix is great!

Anyone know the answer ?????

Does the V600 come with the 500 MAH battery or the larger 700 MAH battery?

Is there a larger one available for it yet?

Proof of cell phone hazard??

😲

"http://www.rfsafe.com/article490.html:
"Neurosurgeon Leif Salford and colleagues at Lund University in Sweden published data showing for the first time an unambiguous link between microwave radiation emitted by GSM mobile phones (the most common type worldwide) and brain damage in rats ... His team exposed 32 rats to 2 hours of microwave radiation from GSM cellphones. Researchers attached the phones to the sides of the rats' small cages using coaxial cables -- allowing for intermittent direct exposure -- and varied the intensity of radiation in each treatment group to reflect the range of exposures a human cellphone user might experience over the same time period. Fifty days after the 2-hour exposure, the rat brains showed signi...

ABC News Report on V600 tonight!

The Chicago ABC owned ABC 7 WLS-TV did a consumer report at 5p tonight on the launch of the V600. Apparently the station received a press release today from the Motorola headquarters here in Illinois announcing that there will be no more delays in the release of the "highly anticipated" V600 phone. I got excited until reporter Cheryl Burton said "the phone will hit store shelves near the end of April!" Even funnier, throughout the piece they were showcasing B-roll footage of the Samsung E715. Funny, eh? And the story goes on...

HS801 versus...any other bluetooth headsets - your opinion please

Since I just bought the V600, which I have yet to use yet (i'm letting it charge up), and it came with the Motorola HS801.

I would like to know if anyone has any experience with the HS801 and how it compares to specifically the Bluetrek G2. The Bluetrek G2 seems to be the new "hot" bluetooth headset, would you agree? Is there a better bluetooth headset out there (with/without emphasis on battery life as well)?

I have yet to find a review that compares to other new headsets that have just come out. All opinions welcome!

Here's a howardsforums linke to their bluetooth section:

Here's a review on the G2 from mobileburn:
