Motorola V710
Anybody in NYC need 2 v710's? My RS just got 2
I'm a VZW customer, and entitled to New Every Two $100 credit - so I'm not buying this from Radio Shack (also - I'd like to let you guys work out some of the kinks and figure things out over the next 12 days ;)
I walk past a Radio Shack on my way to work. This morning at 9am - my local Radio Shack had just received 2 v710's just before I got there. They had both and actually unwrapped one right out of the box for me.
I played with it for 10 minutes (it's nice - but the antenna is pretty long!) - and then told them I'd let other people know they had 2 of them.
Anybody in NYC want them?

Why does everybody seem to hate Motorola so much?
I have an LG vx6000 right now. I hate it. I don't understand why everyone has an obsession with LG phones being so good. I drop calls constantly and I never have service in my own house. Maybe I am the only person who has seen this in such a "mighty" piece of technology.
I owned a Motorola v60 before the LG and except for the fact that the antenna fell off quite a few times, I loved it. I can see how people hate the t720 but is the v710 really that bad as most people are saying? I don't plan on using the camera that much and I only plan on using Bluetooth to connect a headset. Thank you all for any advice you can give me.

EVERYONE who has the phone. CAn u answer saying which phone is better in performance. THe v710 or the lg 7000. WHich phone is better people. REply. TAnx. Give a concrete answer.

Checked the RS store locator on the web for the 1000th time. Looks like you can order through the store for free delivery.

2 Radio Shacks have them in Willowbrook/West Belt in Wayne NJ, go get em!

V710 Registration Date(Official Date)!!
I spoke with Motorola and they are waiting till at least Aug 11th before the open up the registration. This is coming from one of the managers at Motorola. I guess this for fairness for everyone who is purchasing the phone. I can just imagine how many hits the site will have that day.

VZW CSR just said Aug 9th
I called to have my EVDO service moved to the v710 and she couldn't do it cause the phone wasn't in their system "we don't even have owner's manuals yet." She said to call back on Aug 9 when they release the phone. This, after a long wait on hold while she talked to the higher ups in technical.
VZW Price Aug 11 Question
So from what I've read VZW will have the v710 for $419 on Aug 11?

Now I'm pissed with HelloMoto and their scam on being one of the first 710 to buy phone. Can't even register the damn phone and try to win the $99 bluetooth headset.
The Hellomotto Website not ready yet. They're still only pre-registering to win.
Fargin a. I guess I'm not the only customer with this complaint.
I guess the phone isn't really out even though I was lucky enough to get one in my hand today at noon.
Good luck to all. I heard that some RS stores in Indiana have it. The guy at my store said he saw only 2 phones in stock in all of 50 stores. I used the Radio Shack site to find the closest one with the v710. Hope none of you need to drive too far.

So i have been getting mixed answers from verizon... i am a CURRENT VERIZON customer and my contract ends in dec so i was on the 1 year plan...and i know that the retail price of the phone is five hundred something and then the promotional pricing is if you sign up for 1 or 2 year,,,
so my problem is : i asked the *611 guy if i will be able to get the phone at promotional price if i EXTEND my contract by 1 year or 2 and he said yea u can in DECEMEBER i was like WHAT!!!....so i ask the FORUM.. can i get the promotional price ASAP as in if i went to store today can they hook me up or do i have to wait and ride the contract out...and is there any loop hole because i dont want to pay RETAIL for this ... đĸ

PAIRING WITH CAR?????
I know that the v710 pairs with the Acura TL via bluetooth, but i was wondering if it was possible with a 2003 BMW 3 series....i tried yesterday with no success...anyone have suggestions?
