is the mp3 player CLEAR, loud, easy to use? are the mp3 ringers you put on the TF nice and loud? Can you use bluetooth to get stuff on and off the TF?

Well I have an appointment to pick up my v710 tomorrow from RS. I have some worries though. Will I have a warrenty, can I take it back to Verizon instead of RS if anything goes wrong, do you think the phones that were shipped to RS may have bugs or something? might be the beta versions or something I don't know... It seems weird that RS would have them before Verizon and that they are what i've discovered to be recieveing shipments of "two units" every other day. I'm just worried about the RS ones being buggy or "bad"

Basically, what i'm asking you guys for your opinion.

Buy it from RS now! Or wait tell the 11th and get it from Verizon ("the source")

ALSO, for those who have it and got it from RS how loud are the ringtones and ...

For those of you people with the phone (and im sure there is enough of you) could you do the rest of us without the phone a favor and write an indepth review or possibly post up some pictures. I'm really debating if its worth taking back my vx7000 waiting 10 days for the 11th getting the v710 or just holding onto the vx7000 and getting the vx8000

Just recieved email confrim date Augst 11th is the date it will be selling...No Price confrim yet but atlease they let us know. It is also on equioment guide for my coworkes who also want to the confrim date...So just hold a little more in about a week and a half we all will have it...

I know i was probably the biggest advocate of the D2U radioshack plan. I know a bunch of people got burned. At the time my info said it should work. RS really screwed us all. Me included (lost a sale). So here is so relatively new info.

As of tonight the store in Warwick NY had 2 in transit.

Memo siad that the phones will be in stores on or before Aug 3rd (expect in house date for the flyer).

I will continue to look at the regional inventory until i see a more phones showing up.

I am in Region 14 (Northeast) so if other RS' employees could check there region tomarrow that would be great.

Initial reaction. Excellent fringe reception. Good audio although could be louder. Easy to read display. Speaker phone is good but sound is not as good as my old V60p. Haven't figured out everything will report more tomorrow. The blue tooth headsets are charging now.

No led to turn on to blink green in home area or read for no service etc. Photos are not a good as I expected but not bad either.

Some have said the phone is big. It is much thiner than the v60 series and a little wider. Not a bad size. A little difficult to hold when you are use to the v60 series. That will take a little getting use to.

I got my v710 today and im getting a lil frusterated. 1st off the keypad sounds doesnt seem to change when i change the volume. 2nd, when i change the profile (ring+vib),(loud)...etc it doesnt make the noise that i have seen a v600 do. Usually when you change it makes a beep to indicate the profile has been changed and it also tells you how loud everything will be by the sound of the beep. when i take pictures the color seems to be very bad, i cant even tell that the pics are color. I know the phone has different art modes, like black and white, neg. art, sepia but i have made sure it is on color. This phone doesnt even have any games installed on it, thanks to verizon you have to pay to download some games. Could someone tell me if im doing...

i will be having my friend buy the phone for me his 2-year is up. and then i will activating it on my account i am one year into my 2-year does that mean that they will renew my contract so that i will have the 1 year that resides now and then the added 2 making my contract 3 years?

What do I need for XP to allow Quicklink to see this ?

Just got a 710 from RS yesterday along with an HS820 headset. Trying to pair it with the phone this evening but running into trouble with the PIN. Device scan goes OK, then instructions say to enter "0000" for the PIN, but phone rejects with "Invalid PIN" message. Has anyone else gone thru this successfully or have an idea what I'm doing wrong?

Has anyone in the Chicago area been able to find a store with a V710? RS employees, any idea if you will have this phone tomorrow? Frustrated with the fact that everyone has the phone but I am unable to get it in Moto's backyard. Thanks.

I have been busy since, but I indeed got lucky. After giving up trying to find this thing I got a call from the Radio Shack in Annapolis and they told me that they had one availible. So, I got over there and got it.

The phone is VERY nicely constructed, and sturdy. I like the menus and OS. I don't know if any of you other owners noticed, but it came with two MP3s on the phone to use as ringtones if you wanted. (Media Gallery => Sounds => "Chain Link" and "Eclipse") I noticed that if I press menu, I can choose to switch over to transflash. As of yet it is too late to try and load MP3s to see what happens, but you'll also notice under the "Media Gallery" you can choose "New Playlist" which seems to indicate to me that you can do some...

Ok, Had it for about 6 hours now..
Got it at the shack..

Camera is horrible as far as I can tell, Very black and white and color is not great.

Huge Problem with low battery warning.. Phone is in Silent mode and the phone still beeps to announce low battery. Was not great at the movies tonight, I had to shut the phone off.

Lastly the earpiece volume is not great. All the way up to 7 and it's not really low enough to hear in a loud place.

Oh... It's Huge as in Very Big !!!
