Motorola V710

Has anyone put MP3's onto a transflash card yet and tried out the mp3 player? Can you make playlists? Is the sound quality good? Is it loud enough (a complaint I have with my Samsung I600 w/ smartphone)? Thanks ahead of time....

2. youw ant 2 call loose stores such as the mall kiosks. it too me about 9 times but i found this 1 vzw store who said that they will sell me 1 2nite w/rebate + new every 2!

I'm a VZW sales rep and we received two pads of Moto 710 Rebates for $70 today. The are a electric green color. They do not say the date the begin, but they do say the phone must be bought by October 10th.

I just picked up my new V710. I can't offer any feedback because it's still charging, but I plan to out some mins on it tomorrow.

If you live in the VA area let me know and I can help you get yours.

Well it seems that VZW really screwed the pooch today. Radio Shack IS SELLING V710's TODAY in limited quantity through direct retail only!

How in the hell did you guys let a second tier vendor beat you to the draw? I hope that you do know that you have disappointed a great deal of people (both new & current customers).

There is absolutely no excuse for this. I don't want to hear the "party line" about RS buying VZW branded phones from Motorola direct. It is VZW BRANDED equipment and a VZW activation!

Now the rest of us have to wait till Aug 11??? Your sales & marketing "managers" must be smoking their socks to let this ha...

Hey, I noticed that even if you set the Display Timeout to "off" and Battery Save to "off" that the display still turns off! Even while it is charging..

Kinda makes me mad.. So is this a bug, or what?

well they went ahead and let me have it today!! and god iam glad i waited! speakerphone is LOUD, earpiece isnt that bad,front display isnt that bad either,better than what i expected!!i dont think its that big??? everything is working great so far ,will keep you updated!!! 😁 😁

the official vzw release date is august 11th, expect regitration for the free stuff after that date, and btw radio shack is not suposed to be selling the 710 before then either

This is for all the poeple who got it from radio shack. Which one do u like. The V710 or the LG 7000. Or maybe even wait for the LG 8000. Soooo. Make sure u answer. TAnx. How is the phone also.

2. How do you get MP3's into the phone
3. How do you change the ulgy wallpaper on the outside LCD?
4. Does anyone know how to mamually set-up national access without the software?

You guys with the phones are drive me nuts. 😛 You all are just fueling my desirer. I really really can't wait till the 11th to get my phone. 😁 I have to wait because of NE2. My girl friend is about the only thing that can keep my mind off this phone, but she's 600 miles away. And I can't find a job. So all I do is watch these forums all day. Trust me I know how sad it is that I am hooked on this phone the way I am. So go ahead and ridicule me. At least I read the full threads. I saw several instances of the same question asked and answered in the same damn thread. Now thats just plain lazy. Oh well sorry to bother you guys with this BS.

I picked up my v710 today at the RS in the Mall of New Hampshire (Manchester, NH). They had one left after I grabbed mine. They also had one more Bluetooth headset (HS820) but no other accessories.

The only thing I've done with mine so far is send a pic to it (176x220) and apply it as wallpaper.

What I will be attempting shortly is connecting it to my PocketPC. I have a HP iPaq 4155 with built in Bluetooth. I'll let you know how that goes. Feel free to ask me any other questions.

Took a little doing, but I got it paired with my Acura TL. Very cool.
It does not come with a transflash card, so I have to get my order in for one ASAP.

My Palm T3 can recognize the phone but can't communicate with it. Needless to say the V710 is not listed as a device on the T3. Any suggestions on how to get this to work?

😁 Well i picked my V710 up just about an hour ago in Grosse Pointe Michigan at RS. I have been watching this forum for months and trying to learn about hte moto phone. Thanks for the entertainment guys lol. I got the 2 year plan. so far the phone is sweeeeet!!!!

Bluetooth does not sync with computer... No way to get mp3's into the phone?

Just wanted to pass some info on. First I must say this phone does get a lot better reception than my vx7000 did. That surprised me, And in a analog area where my old vox8900 would show a weak analog signal and was unable to make a call the v710 showed full power and I was able to make calls no problem. Also I have a Motorola Desktop charger that I used for my I90c nextel phone and the V710 fits perfect. Sweet! So you might want to check ebay or the motorola site for those as I do not see one made yet for the v710.
