Motorola V710

I called RS on Tuesday to ask if they were getting any in and they said they were getting a few in and they could take my name and number and call me and hold one. I didn't think to ask whether they did the NE2. I read on here a thread where it said they didn't so I figured I would just wait until 8/11 as I've been waiting for 6 months, what's another 2 weeks!?! The guy ended up calling me and said that he still had it and if I wanted to come pick it up I could. I asked him if they did the NE2 and he said, "Yes, we do them all the time.." Ok - who has found a screen protector for the v710 - I have used it for about 2 hours and I am paranoid already!!!!!!

If your are having trouble finding Transflash my distributors have some stock. Especially the 64MB. I haven't decided what to charge for the 128 yet because the distributor that has it is a rapist compared to my others. Since I would be drop shipping it, they would charge a small order fee + shipping. Not the best deal in the world but it is in stock and would be cheaper than RadioShack for sure. I show 146 128MB in CA and 260 64MB in PA and 5 64MB in TX. I don't see much of a reason for the 64MB though because it's only 6 to 7 dollars cheaper than the 128MB (whole sale). I picked my phone up today at RadioShack. Very nice people and I got very lucky to get this phone. Anyways, I just downloaded MobilePhone Tools from Motorola's site for $29.00 (I already had the usb cord, don't really need the bluetooth adapter since I have the cord, I just didn't have the softwear) Anyways, I first sync'd up my old phone V60 and got my phonebook, etc. Then I sync'd up my v710 and at first my computer didn't recognize the phone. I kept messing with it, no luck. then I closed the phone while it was still attached to the USB cord. Then all of the sudden it sync'd, etc. So if you are having trouble, did you have you phone open when you were trying to sync? If so, close it and then try? Stupid I know, but now my phonebook i...

I have been reading posts for a while now, and finally registered so I can ask a question.

I just checked out a v710 at the Radio Shack here in Beaverton, Oregon. It looks awesome, I'm definitely glad I have waited to get it. However, I'm going to wait until it comes out in the VZW stores because I have the New Every Two that I can cash in on.

When I was at RS, the guy in the store thought that the $100 for NE2 will not apply on top of the rebate. Anyone out there know if this is true? That would be a bummer, I'd love to get the phone for $150. Thanks for the help.

sorry for my ignorance, but does this Mobile Phone Tools come with the cable, or is it just the CD? I know it's pictured w/ it but it seems a little too cheap to be true. kinda new at this, thanks. 🤭

All right, which one of you f-cker purchased the phones from the Radio Shack in Greenpoint?! I live in Greenpoint and had to go all the way to Queens to get is from the Radio Shack on Queen BLVD!

Just wondering because I got the phone from RS today, and the Bluetooth is the reason I bought it and it doesn't seem to be working the way I'd expect (To the point where I'm would return it toady if RS was still open). Is it possible that RS got an early release without all of the BT capability?

Reisterstown Radioshack has 3 v710 and Pasadena should have them tommorow. By Monday they should be in all Radioshacks. But yes, they are only getting 2-3 per store.....Big stores will sell out quickly whereas smaller stores may not because of the big ticket item that it is.....Good Luck al. A customer came to our technicians today with a V710. He said he got it on the web. The techs told me that his display had blanked out. The sceen had stopped working after a week. I hope this is not a sign of things to come. Techs told him that since the phone is not available yet rhough VZW, they could not fix it or replace it (not that we have warranty replacements to trade with anyway).

🙂 Just got the call from RS, mine is ready to be pickedup 🙂 $249 with rebate (2 yrs.) I might change my mine to 1 yr...... I have few hours to think about....... :-)

I've read all of the Radio Shack posts -and I'm not saying it's impossible - but I find it VERY hard to believe that RS is going to get this phone before the Verizon retail stores.

Wasn't this phone tested in a large part for Verizon's network? Isn't Motorola in daily if not hourly contact with Verizon regarding the status of testing, the release date, etc? Haven't they been joined at the hip for months and months on this phone? If so - does it make sense that Motorola would ship it to RS before Verizon?

Also - Verizon is very well aware that their customers have been chomping at the bit for this phone. Does it make sense that they would sit back while another vendor releases it before them?

I got mine today. fun phone, but..... after just a little web surfing and a few videos the battery died. it was fully charged or so it seemed. (i was told it was charging at the store all day until i picked it up)

I was the person who orignally posted about buying it at RS and said it was on the way to my house. But... a lot of other people posted that the orders where cancelled and refunded. I never got that call or e-mail or anything. I called and they said it has been pulled and is on the way. Anyone from RS or anything know what the real deal is on the direct2U orders? Cause RS owes me $551.53 then!! 👿
