Motorola V710

For everyone who already has the phone... Has anyone been abe to transfer MP3's, Pictures, etc. to their phone without using Get It Now?

I have been reading posts for weeks and the first sign of a Verizon launch on August 11th was a guy guessing and betting it would be on that date.

Why and how do we know that for sure?

Is anyone else out there having a problem communicating with the v710, using the Mobile Phone Tools software?

I have tried Bluetooth, serial, and a serial to USB bridge connection (not the standard moto USB adapter)

I am using version 2.21f of the software.

If you see from the following link, it looks like the phone is supported through the USB cable, but not Bluetooth, and many of the functions are not available for this phone....

The v710 came in early today. I expected it on fri. Im sure everyone beleives me by now. But i didnt take it. I called the guy back and told him im not getting it. I realized that its better to wait and get it from verizon. Radio shack is good but verizon is jus better. Im saying this becuase they are the acutal store that activate the phone. Im better off feeling better getting from the actual store. I called verizon. They said they will get it 11th or the 19th or mid august or in 5 days. All i know is that its coming. I know i can wait and i think everyone shud wait. If u get it now, know that ur not the only one. There is like 50 radio shacks around me and each got over 2. So everyone is getting it. Im waiting.

I will be a new verizon wireless customer with the purchase of this phone. Any advantages/disadvantages between purchasing at Radioshack or WZW store other than RS has it now? I want it, but I can wait until the 11th. Thanks.

On Wireless Advisor, I had some requests to show the v710 next to my old phone, a Startac.

I called a radio shack that i hadn't called today and they said they had two V710's in transit.

She said they should have arrived by today but didn't, and should be in either tomorow or Monday.

I gave her my name and number, and she said when she gets them in she would call me and hold it for me.

I guess there are ways to get them, you just need to call around.

And in case any _&^%$hole like "fatherwayne" want to know when,...the answer is it was put up today.

Picked mine up today because of Bluetooth. Got it home and went to pair it to my computer. Hmm, it doesn't pair. It says authorization failed. So I went to connect it to my car, and the connection keeps dropping and it doesn't download the phonebook. I had a v600 and everything worked fine with that one. According to Motorola Customer Service(if you can call it that) they have no info because the phone isn't supposed to be releases until August. Anyone else having these problems??

i have my phone and i want to hurry up and register my phone to get a free headset, am i going to have to wait until Aug. 11th when the phone will be released to verizon stores? im lost and i need help.

I have my phone set to vibrate and the key volume in the settings is at its highest yet no noise is produced. Work if phone is in ringmode, any one else experiencing this problem?

If called a few RS's in DC, VA, and MD and all three had no idea what I was talking about. Has anyone else had better luck in the area?

But then again, all the stores in this area have red lights on RS site, maybe in a few days?

Today I called 9 DIFFERENT Radio Shack stores. ALl but one told me they had 2 this morning, and they all said they were sold out before noon. Kinda funny..... 😢

i just went to my radioshach here in yonkers and its out....and for sale they just got the phones in today....i swear....im located 1/2 hr from manhattan nyc..

Does anyone know if moto has a leathe case for the 710. I checked their site and the two cases they have seem more for rupaul, than the average person. The should sell pink v710 pumps to go along with the purse they have for the phone. appreciate any help. also what headset does everyone recommend?

I work for an indirect verizon agent and on the info-center of the verizon site it lists upcoming phones and the V710 has finally been added. The exact thing is says next to the phone is "The Wireless Devices Group is pleased to announce the new Motorola V710 with embedded Bluetooth and camera to the product line-up August 11th." I cannot link the website because it is for employees only. Sorry ☹️

Did the mobile Phone tools come with it or do u have to buy it seperatly, also do's the 2.0 version work with it or do we have to wait for the 3.0 and also do u need it to transfer your mp3s and wallpapers from your computer to it? o and how's the picture quality on the phone

For us in the New York Metro, this phone is simply not available. And the site here says its release is "tentative" so how are you guys getting this phone? I heard it had software problems and is being tested and the bugs are being worked out.
