voice dailing voicemail question

okay first off, I love this phone, even with some of the little glitches and everything. Yes, the earpeice volume is a little low to my liking, but it's not a dealbreaker for me. And yes, the camera quality is bunk, but to me, it's a phone first, and a quick novelty camera second. I've wanted this thing for so long, and i still can't believe that I have it! I'm very pleased with it. Plus, it just looks slick, which was a big part of the decision for me to buy it. I hate the look of the rest of the phone selection for verizon out there.

ANYWAYS, onto my question.....when i use the voice dialing feature to access my voicemail, it doesn't dial in my passcode, even though i changed the voicemail in the phonebook to have a wait and my passcode...

Clarification of new every 2!

I work for an exclusive VZW agent. We do not do new every 2, but I know how it works. The extra $100 you receive is supposed to be a coupon sent to you in the mail when you are eligible. It is like an instant rebate when you sign a new 2 year contract. Also, you have to already be in or just out of a current 2 year contract. If you are in a 1 year you do not get the new every 2 just the normal offers. Now if you didn't get it or tossed it in the trash unknowingly VZW may still give it to you. Here's the catch: If you take the new every 2 you do not get the mail in rebate as well! Example being the v710 with the $70 rebate: NE2 $100-$70 rebate = $30 net savings. For those of you mathematically challenged that would mean $219($249-30)...

PLEASE!!!!!

No more Radio Shack, no more Transflash, no more technology BS posts!

Let's talk about the phone features, your experience with it so far, etc.

We would probably only have about 10 pages of posts if only legitimite or informative posts about the phone were kept.

volume? itap dictionary?

Is the complaint on volume coming from just one person or is this somthing that many are experiencing?

I had this problem with my v120's, but my t730's have really good sound so I thought they had put this volume problem to rest.

Also curious does the itap version on the phone let you insert words into the dictionary?
I'm really tired of having to type out words it doesn't recognize.

V710 Bugs(Sending Formal Feeback to Motorola)!!!

I think instead of trying to contact Motorola customer care individually, we should collect as a group feedback of what issues the V710 is having. Someone could create an e-mail and we could fwd bullet points of the issues they are having. Then we could present to someone in charge over to Motorola so they can start working on a software fix. Unless Someone on this board knows someone who works for Motorola that we can give feedback to. Possibly those people who have been had the equipment for a few months testing it out, I'm sure they know someone. What do you think?

So how is the v710 so far?

So I've noticed a good amount of you have gotten your hands on the v710 which is pretty awesome. I was wondering if you all think the phone is worth it or was it too hyped up?? I just found out I'm eligible for an upgrade up until the 15th of August and wanted to get opinions on the phone and whether it is a good buy or bad buy before I signed a new contract and purchased the phone. Thanks!!

New V710 and MPT problem

I just got my V710 at RS. It is very cool but I go to hook it up to Motorola Phone tools 2.0 with USB cable and it won't initialize.
Do I need an update to MPT?
Anyone else have the same problem?

Why August 11th when RS advertising all over available now??

👿 👿 👿 👿

OK.. Here is the question... Why would Verizon have an August 11th release date when Radio Shack is now advertising (aggressively advertising) the phone as available now for $249.99.... It is in their flyer... On the Radio Shack Home Page, and as we have seen here... Selling like hotcakes...

Is there some defect that is in the phone that needs to still be resolved???

Is it all about the numbers???

It it the fact that the phone might work, and, as we know, Verizon doesn't like phones like that???

Any opinions from this opinionated crowd???

When can you register for "get something"

Just bought my v710 from RS.
Love it.
I couldn't find the registration site so I called Moto and they told me that it would be up when the phone officially launches. Hope to be on of the first for being one of the first.
Anyone know when it will launch and when the registration site will be available? Midnight?

Clearing something up.

Alright, some people have mentioned that the images looks fine until they actually take the picture, then it gets all grainy. This is true, HOWEVER, the image isn't the quality that you see when it get grainy. It's actually clear, like it was right before you snapped the picture and you can see it nice and clear after it's been saved and you view it in your photo section.

Just wanted to clear that up.

RS vs VERIZON PROGRAMMING Q!

If the RS phones are going to be different then the VZW ones, why not just buy the RS one and then when the VZW are out you could go in and say it is screwed up. Thyey will givwe you one of the new ones to replace it. I did this about 5 times to the last 3 years with my other phones

trouble with transflash?

I have a 128 transflash card in the phone, but if I set the phone to store on that instead of the phone memory i get an error: "Can't store image." Can anyone help? Thanks.

The Phone knows the memory is there cause it is telling me how much space is available, etc.

Purchased v710 last night... question....

I purchased a v710 at Radio Shack last night. Very cool phone so far.

Question: Is there any way to have the bluetooth power on automatically when you turn the phone on? I have an Acura TL and I'm way too lazy to manually go through the screens to power on the Bluetooth in order to link the phone with my car every time.

Fairfield County Connecticut

Has anyone been able to find the phone at a RS in Fairfield County? I've called several stores with no luck.
