Motorola V710

I just went to the RS store on Flatbush and Nostrand Ave in Brooklyn NY. They were willing to order the phone no problem, however, as was clearly explained to me, they currently do not have the promotional pricing, or MIR, nor do they know when such information will be available. The options presented to me where, buy the phone now at full price, and there is 14 day grace period which would allow me to come back in and reclaim the lost money if the pricing structure was given to the RS within that 14 day period. If however, no such information came through, I would be out 600 bucks on the phone. Now my question to all is, what makes you so sure the phone and pricing structure will be in RS stores by the end of this week?

I'm going to switch from ATT to Verizon once the V710 comes out and from reading this board I don't understand why people would buy it at Radio Shack. Am I missing something?
At the Verizon store you get $100 off a new phone in two years, and for signing a contract the v710 will be about $250. At Radio shack you pay about $500 for the phone and that's it? I don't know much about cell phones but I know a lot about shopping and paying double doesn't make sense to me. Can someone tell me what I am missing. Thanks!

Just went to my local Verizon store on my lunch hour to see if they had the demo phone for the v710. Not only did they not have it - they had no clue about it.

I wonder when most stores will start getting them in?

which phone is going to be cheaper and which is going to be better quality and have more features etc...

doesnt make any sense.... the phone will be IN the stores to purchase at $250 2morrow or thursday, why order early just to go back, return it, and buy it... thats so much of a hassle... and yes teh phone is in vzw stores officially on august 11th

If a person buys the phone from RS. Do they have a set period of time in which they can return it for full refund?

Or do you need the wire and Motorola proprietary software?
