How much is the v710 worth?

I WANT to get a new phone, but I don't NEED to get a new phone. I like the features of the 710 and if I was to get a new phone this is the one I would want. I am a current verizon customer but my contract has long since run out, so I could sign a new contract or go elsewhere to get a wiz bang phone.

Since no one even knows when the phone will come out I doubt anyone knows what the price will be. So how much are you will to pay for it. I see an 710 on ebay for nearly $500. I'm thinking a new 710 is not worth that to me. Is Verizon known to start high on new phone prices or low (some sort of rebate)?
I'm just curious on what would constitute a good deal or a rip-off?

I know something is only worth as much as someone is will to p...

Ya know what? Fine! I'll buy a REAL mp3 (Ipod) player (which everyone at my job uses), a V600 with REAL bluetooth and wahhlahh--same thing. Plus ATT will be merged, have sick coverage, and the first video phone out.

P.S. For all those who are waiting for these scum bags to release a piece of freakin plastic: How many songs do u think ur gonna fit on a $200/512mb transflash. Unless you need that memory for the 1.3mp camera (which isn't even close to today's camera standards).

Or how about this: H...

August Release is More Likely

I called my local VZW store (Chicago suburbs) the other day and the guy said they were suppose to have it by Wednesday, but now it's been pushed back until July 29th. I'm betting this won't happen either, but that's from a Verizon Sales guy.

Oh well, I don't have a yearly contract on my phone, so I won't mind waiting. I'd rather it be a few months late but work flawlessly then it come out too soon and be a dud. I think it'll be worth the wait when it does come out.

If there were a GSM version of this phone out now, I'd go with that (love the SIM card idea).

CDMA Bluetooth

Can someone point me in the direction of a CDMA bluetooth phone or a GMS phone that can be adapted to VZW service. I have a Acura TL that is bluetooth enabled and was to use my current VZW service.

FCC ID for V710

if you're curious.......

if you go to the info of the v710 on phonescoop, they have the FCC ID of the phone. well, if you click on it, it will take you to the FCC database and list the paperwork, that comes up with the phone.

whats interesting is, if you go to the end and look at the "Application Purpose" you will see the changes Motorola had to make to the original product. and you will notice they were done on the 29th of june. now you can actually go read these, but if you dont know alot about electrical engineering, mosat of it will sound like a foreign language.

just thought i'd throw that out there...

Will there be a GSM version?

😳 Sorry if this is a repeat thread. I did a search first and nothing came up on this particular subject. I wanted to know will there be a version of the v710 released for GSM networks. I have a v600 and really enjoy the Bluetooth option. Yet I also do like the Color screen on the outside of the phone as well as the expandable memory option on the v710. If anyone has any info I'd greatly appreciate thanx.;)

Advertising Doesn't Mean A Thing

You all..don't be surprised if the V710 doesn't come out for VZW. Motorola probably fully expected the phone to be released by Verizon and jumped the gun. And if the phone is in limbo right now it wouldn't make sense for them to pull their advertisements. One, if it does get released by VZW or someone else(sprint?) then the ads keep the phone in peoples minds and will help it's sales when releasaed. Two, pulling the ads and admitting the phone has been cancelled makes Moto look really really bad. The last thing they need right now. I'm willing to bet they are fighting tooth and nail to get that phone released and are running the ads just in case and to keep up appearances.

Stopped by my local phone store who is an authorized dealer for Verizon and he says it will be released Monday! He was quite sure of this so we will see but I am now holding my breath (and turning blue). 😁

Sorry Guys, I caved! read this for the real deal.

I have been reading this forum multiple times a day, I don't even want to admit to myself how much time I spent here because it is embarassing. When I looked in the mirror and saw how sickly looking I was I decided I will no longer hover over these forums.

I bought the vx-7000 and I LOVE IT. The motorola would of been nice but this one is great! The only thing I might miss is speakerphone but I have never had it before so oh well. I like the looks of the phone and everyone I show it to thinks its really cool too.

I bought it yesterday ( the 16th ) so that if Verizon gets its act together and releases the phone before the end of the month I can exchange it. But I might not even do that. If I didn't convince you go read the user review...

Just Wondering

Im just an average joe looking to get the v710, and I have been reading alot of the forums. It says planned availability in July, but I see that some of you are saying or thinking maybe Aug, or possibly Sept. So what im asking is, does the planned month for July mean nothing really?? I know there isn't alot of inside info, im just being curious like the rest of us.

Thanks
