Motorola V710

My brother which recently moved to the 34th st verizon, asked his new senior rep and technician about the progress of the 710. They told him that it failed another test. Those who didn't believe me the first time, well it failed again...this explains the delay of the freakin phone! 👿 Will keep you updated for more once I get more info.

Popped in to see if there was anything new and exciting in here, and what I found instead that there are about 50 different identities (not nec. separate individuals) posting about a guy in Witchita who has the 710, or his cousin's brother's girlfriend's lesbian mentor who saw the phone in an alley, or a guy in a van who is selling the phone next to nickel-bags and vials of crack and who's about to knock over Wells Fargo or some 24-hour Gas N' Go.

Either we have, among us, a few individuals who are clearly more pathetic and masturbatory than we would even suspect, or we have many. I was under the impression that this forum was for pre-release info (ie the phone has these features and it weighs xx oz and it opens and closes and takes crapp...

I just realized something. The V710 will still use itap for txt messaging. Don't know why I didn't realize this before. I'm an idiot. That really sux. I wanted to get this phone but even if it does come out, I can't part ways with my T9 input. itap is a pain.

but the best approach is to wait and see what happens..........

I realize this may have been posted already, I just don't want to dig all through the pages of this forum. Does anyone know when this phone will be released? Also, any guesses on the price? Thanks.

Motorola has quoted me that the phone will be released on next week by Verizon. They also said Monday or Tuesday of next week. if you feel this is inaccurate, please call them.

just out of curiosity, do any of you know how the people who sell the v710 on ebay get them?? how are they able to get them before the phone is out?

theres no phones on ebay, its a romanian scam for the billionth time. Theres no phones for sale, in any legit store as theyre weeks/months from release if ever. Thats it simple.

my new every two $100 off comes up on the 27th. so if i get the vx 7000 now for full price would i get the $100 off if i return the vx 7000(within the 15 days obviously) and buy the v710 (or any other phone) on the same day?

I know one of the people who is on the user friendly trial but I have yet to see it yet. Any info on the upgraded iTap? t9 blows it out of the water up to now.

Just a phone man...I want it too, just like everyone else...but there ain't much we can do about it except pass the time typing and reading here.

Does anyone remember when Motorola changed the deadline for the promotion last time? Was it only a couple days before 7/10, or was it more like a week before the deadline?

maybe the delay isn't verizon or motorola, maybe its a phonescoop conspiracy, if they get advertising money, per hit to the site they have to be taking in big bucks on our crack-like addiction. All these forums are really the ones making out here. (obviously joking)

Lets all predict when and how this phone will come out. I bet this coming Tuesday in winds up in some of our hands. Not all stores will have it. Some will have 10 some will have 75 and some will have none. Some of us will be forced to ordering it over the phone or over the net. What do you think ?

I spoke with my local VZW rep yesterday - he told me the problem with release is due to Motorola being at fault.

Generally speaking, from facts in history, this seems more likely to be the problem. Motorola markets the hell out a product that it can't really deliver on time, etc.

what is multimedia wat can u do with it the lg vx8000 is coming with it but i don't know if the motorola v710 is getting it???????

Yesterday ... Thur... I saw a huge BT poster hanging in the verizon corp store on 46 in totowa nj. I didn't stop I was in the fast lane for one and i figured it wasn't out yet anyways just thought you'd like to here the info ... so im guessing soon later kiddos

Does anyone know if it is possible to return a phone you just bought in the 15 day trial and then transfer the service to an old phone...then go out a few days later and purchase another new phone for a new 15 day trial. My original phone broke and I am trying to figure out what to do until the 710 comes out and I don't wanna have to deal with this old piece of crap I am temporarily using.
