Motorola V710 in 45 days?

Believe this or not...I don't care. I've been reading these posts since March and I know everyone (or at least myself) is tired of false information and puns (It'll be out next week...Ha ha). Good job! Waste of information and makes this forum a waste, I don't come here for jokes...

ANYWAYS...first time poster, had to vent months of pinned up frustration...

I was in Radio Shack yesterday and just happen to ask whether or not they were going to carry the LG VX-7000, saw at Verizon store but not at Radio Shack. He just stated that they wouldn't be carrying it, but since he had an idea what it was, I proceeded to ask the SAME question everyone else asks, "Do you know anything about when the Motorola V710 is coming out". I should have...

v710 will be available

When it is available. No one knows, well someone does but they are way too busy to visit this forum. I personally just asked at VZW store if they had any blue tooth phones available. The answer I got was next year.
Go figure. Will be out when it is out.

Called Cust Svc again yesterday...

They still claim to have no idea when the v710 will hit, but he did say that if i wanted a Treo 600, I should try him back next week, and he gave me his direct # and extension. He also mentioned that he had gotten a very general email yesterday AM about bluetooth. Didn't have anything specificly to do with the v710, but was more of an informational message so reps would at least know what BT is.

Amazing

I havent checked this site in a while, and what do I have the pleasure of returning to but more worthless information from people claiming to know everything. You know what happens when you assume you know everything, you make an ass of yourself. Ohh and by the way, when did this site become a daycare service. This forum has more babies in it then a nursery. Grow up people, and stop cluttering this used to be respected forum with your dirty underware that you claim is knowledge set in stone.

Another Approach

I know this is old news, so don't give me any crap about it. I am a VZW rep in the midwest area & was looking for the VZW wharehouse to see if thoses earlier posts saying VZW has the phone in stock or not is true. The report says VZW has over 7000 V710's in stock, as well as the belt clips, headsets & hands-free install kits. This should hopefully mean that it is close to being released.
However, lately our whole entire region has been all up in arms over accesory take rate. Accy's have been the big push in this area, as well as data. The inventory lists nowhere near enough accy's to support this phone at launch. The list does not list cla's (which are probobly the same as all prevois motos - anybody know for sure?) or combo kits (cla + le...

News...Not Good or Bad...From Investors Daily

...In other calls from the sell-side, Thomas Weisel Partners bumped its recommendation on Motorola (MOT) up to "outperform" from "peer perform" while also raising earnings estimates for the fiscal 2004 and fiscal 2005.

Underpinning the upgrade was strength was continued strong momentum in handsets with checks showing the handset division performance tracking strongly near-term while new handset product introductions could make for a better than expected second half.

"With a slate of new product introductions around the bend, MOT's second half 2004 performance could turn out to be better than the 'worst case' scenario we have been building into our model," analyst Hasan Imam wrote in a note to clients.

Imam also note

Official Release Date Set in Stone

The Motorola V710 will be available through B2B 7-30-2004 but the consumer launch will not be until August 25th for the back to school promotions.

LOL 😁 😈 I'm just kidding with you all. I have no idea when it comes out.

BT serial profile

Can anyone confirm that the v710 supports serial BT profile? Also any thoughts on pricing for data, ie per packet like Sprint 😡 or a monthly fee? I see that BT looks locked down.

first off: jcrow78 is 100 % right

the 7000s were shipped prior to 6-25 but some stores jumped the gun.But everyone knew definitively about their release. Everything he said re matrix, dummy models etc is 100% true and the phone is a long way off. Supposedly some units were in some centers and warehouses but there were issues so they had to b sent back for flashing which after VZW re-checks it, is a 45 day period. SO if everything goes according to gameplan (and a lot of times it dont), the earliest the phone will b in actual VZW stores is late august, most likely september. 2 things to mention: 1, Moto has zero clue, zero idea about the release of this phone ( so calling them is futile) and 2, theres a chance, a teeny chance that VZW will (after all these issues/software/te...

4 weeks minmum

😕 I'm new here so please to not belittle me. I'm from GA, like many others, have been anticipating the arrival of the Mot. v710. I finally decided today to call my local store. The representative there said it would be minimum of 4 weeks. Once they get them they will sit in the back for at least a week, if not two.
I'm just passing along information that I've gotten in case there are any other Georgians out there.

Hello all!

Sorry it took me so long to get this information posted, but I'm a first time poster and it took some time to get registered on this site.

Last Friday (7/9) I spoke with a staff (not call center) care manager and a rep from a store in the Midwest.

The store rep said that on Friday morning (7/9), the store manager held a morning meeting before the store opened and said Verizon had informed him (the store manager) that the phone would be avai...

LG VX8000

In Phonescoops VX8000 forum it's sounding like the 8000 may be coming out sooner than expected, maybe by the end of this year. Given the fact that the 8000 doesn't have Bluetooth but sports internal and external 262,000-color displays and works with 3G 1xEvDO (DSL speeds) networks. Which would be the better phone to go with? The V710 or wait for the VX8000.

News Article

See the article below that mentions the V710 being avaliable in August.

http://www.advertiser-tribune.com/news/story/0630202 ... »

I must comment on how much this forum has grown. Just months ago there was an average of about 10 posts a day. Today there are several posts at every minute!

Also - When Motorola was releasing the V600 the website seemed to have a lot more information on the phone, like a ringtone tester, and a lot of other info.

Granted Motorola has a feature film of the V710 on their website, they don't have as much info as they've had in the past when they've been "close" to releasing phones. Any comments?

Thanks
