ive heard information that the external lcd is very weak especially compared to the vx7000 which im strongly starting to lean towards.

Does anyone know how the v710's blutooth feature will interact with macs?

i know a lot of people think that speakerphone on motorolas cant be used with the phone closed but it can...all you have to do is have your answer mode on pressing the key to answer not on the flip to answer....when the phone is on the flip to answer it ends the call when u shut it, but when you close it on the other mode the speakerphone stays active while the phone is shut...use it all the time on my v400

I've been wondering if this phone comes with a holster or belt clip? With all the pics that have been posted by various people, I have yet to see one. Is there one that comes with the phone? If so, could you post it up on that site? Thanks in advance.

but do any of you with a cell phone experience any reception change when you extend your antenna. For me i extend it and its the same as if i didnt extend it. Just curious cause a lot of people complain about stub and extendable antennas. Was wondering how many of you actually get better reception with it out. I live in NYC with a Samsung a530 and it does nothing for me. 😁

and you want to go to another carrier because they have all of the "cool" phones and VZW does not. Well you better read this first...

Cingular, AT&T Wireless top consumer complaints

NEW YORK, July 14 (Reuters) - AT&T Wireless Services Inc. (AWE) and Cingular Wireless, which plan to merge, drew the most complaints about their service in the second quarter, the Consumers Union advocacy group said on Wednesday.

More than 70 of the 132 second-quarter complaints were about AT&T Wireless and Cingular, Consumers Union analyst Janee Briesemeister said. She added that many of the complaints were about how customers were billed, as well as about cell phone network quality or service.

Hey, does anyone know if the video feature will be limited to 15 seconds or what have you? or does it have the capability of using the memory to record slightly longer videos? i would rather be able to have fewer longer videos than more short videos. if either of these is the case, do you know if the t-flash would change any of this?

I know the v710 stores videos in mp4 format, does anyone know what format the vx7000 stores videos?

Is it possible that the mp4 is incompatible with Verizon's network and that the video encoding/decoding software has to be completely re-written?

This would certainly be consistent with the fact that the v710 records and plays videos fine, but cannot send them.

Hey everyone, this is my first post here! Long time lurker and anxious Verizon customer and (beleaguered) Motorola loyalist waiting to replace my v120e with the v710.

I own a Palm Tungsten T3. It can send and receive pictures and mp3s (with a card) over Bluetooth.

I would love to know if it is possible to send a picture from my palm pilot to the v710.

Also, is it possible to send mp3 files from your computer (with a bluetooth adapter) to your v710?

Also, if I get the computer transfer connection, Is it possible to load Java games on the v710?

My current phone, the v120e, has this cool blue glow to it, but its really primitive.

Can someone explain to me the whole "Get It Now" feature on the advanced Verizon phones?

well just to let you guys know that the v710 is out. i will be getting mines next week. but i'm not getting it from the verizon stores cause they are they are delaying and all that stuff. i'm getting it from one mom and pops store in my area. i live in the bayarea. but ofcourse i'm paying for it in price though. just to let you guys know. might want to do what i do if you can't wait.

It breaks my heart but after waiting this long for this phone, I'm beginning to look at other VZW phones that might be able to fill the void. I'm thoroughly disappointed with Motorola's delays. I understand that it's all for testing so that they can finally give us a good phone as opposed to the T-Series. But my patience waning. Anyone out there recommend a phone that's out now that covers the essentials, ie: good reception, good camera quality, NOT LG, and solid? I may eventually end up waiting for the 710's release, but at this point, I'd like to keep my options open. Thanks, guys.
