Motorola V710

Amazing. I called *611 yesterday hoping to catch someone on the release of the V710. The rep said that he has been told October but that I can check at PhoneScoop.com for more accurate info. Amazing this forum has better info than Verizon! 🤣

Interesting article on Motorola and the v710 being delayed. Still the article alludes to a mid July - August 1 release.

Just got off the phone with a CS rep and the phone isnt in there sytem. Today is July 15. Usually the phones go into the system 2 weeks prior to release. SO it cant be coming out this month unless who the hell knows.... Anyone have any better info? I need bluetooth, and love VZW service but there phoines are ASSS!!!

We keep hearing dates from what could be reliable people on this forum. August, September and even October. We also hear from people like myself who are dealing with a total POS phone and want the V710 right now. I guess my question to everybody and anybody is, are there still reliable people out there that still believe we are going to see this phone this month (July) ?

a discouraging day for eager v710 buyers....any legitimate info. on how the v710 failed testing from Verizon insiders?? I know most of these threads are just speculation, but if the phone failed testing that could potentially be a huge setback...i can't even find this phone to purchase unlocked which only proves to me that something screwy is going on here...like most of you, i assumed the delay was due to Verizon, because we all know they are pushing all of their other phones by offering great deals right now...but if the v710 failed testing, then motorola is at fault and who knows how long we're gonna have to wait now?! 😕

I just stopped by my Verizon Store on the way home to ask about any info on the release of the V710. I was there 2 weeks ago and was told to stop by in a week. they might have some info. So I gave it 2 weeks. When I asked the Manager he said it might be soon or could be a month or 2. He also said even if knows, he couldn't tell Costumers that kind of information because it's not for them to know.
Just Employees of Verizon are privileged to Release dates. Kind of makes you feel like he wanted to say "When it's out it will be out and stop bothering us " Was a little turned off by the attitude.

This info is straight from my regional higher ups. I just came back from ev-do, video messaging and bluetooth training. They had the 710, i saw it, i held it and i asked when i could get it. This is what they said. Bluetooth(and the 710) are being released by the end of the third quarter(august or even september),wouldn't give us exact date, but they assured us we would have it in our stores within the next 45 days. I am thinking that would put it here sometime the end of next month or the start of September. They did say they had some testing issues, but those were all resolved now and the phone is ready to go. My guess is they just want to hold off on it for a month so they can ride out he 7000 a little while. Most reps don't really know w...

Has anyone else thought about this? VZW is well known for the strict testing that it puts handsets through. This is evident by the continuous delays of the 710, 810, etc. Does anyone here remember the hell in a clamshell T720? That phone had numerous problems and then some. Everyone at VZW said it was because Motorola wanted to be the first one out with a color screen phone and that they "igonored" many problems with the phone. If that is the case how in the hell did the T720 get passed VZW "strict" testing. Something is not right here, if VZW has such "strict" testing, that dam hell in a clamshell T720 would've probably been delayed as much as the 710 is now. Something is up. What do you people of this forum think about this?

Gave up on the 710 and went to upgrade my plan and get the 7000.... he told me these EXACT WORDS "well ur gunna have to come back thursday afternoon around 2 or 3 when we get the new shipment and you might get the phone you've been asking me about for so long" and smiled.... could mean i could have a 7000 thursday or friday

I've been looking at pictures of this phone, but I cant see where the flash of the phone comes from. Does the phone have flash? Also can you use the flash while taking a video? The VX 7000 cant I hate that!

Sorry if this is a little off topic. I'm with ATT right now but once this phone comes out im planning on switching to Verizon. My question is; if i have a 2 year contract but ive only been there a year is it impossible to get out of the contract?

heck i think theyll be out befor the v710 so ill wait for them, heck i saved $440.00 just for the v710 since may, and i have not spent any of it so now iam going to kings island and have some fun with that money!!! and resave for one of the other phones.

Just an FYI. I just got this months Fast Company magazine. On page 27 is a very PINK (not sure why it is pink) add. The main title is CineMoto and it gives the highlights on the phone:

I went in to a verizon store in Brooklyn NY today to look at the vx7000 because im eligable for an upgrade. Anyway he said he doesnt have the vx7000 yet but he said he ordered them along with the v710 to come on july 17th. He also mentioned that verizon and motorola signed something yesterday that allows the v710 to be available to vzw customers. he said verizon store should have the phones in before the 20th of july.

Honestly I couldn't care less about a camera or video phone, all I want is the bluetooth connectivity so I can link up to my Acura TL.

Does anyone know if the Bluetooth adapter listed on the Moto website works? Anyone have any experience with it?

That way I can spend $40 dollars for a ugly looking adapter, and wait for the hype to die down on the V710 (and if history proves to be correct, the first few "improvements/bug fixes" 🙂
