sum1 please explain it to me im not big on these things

what is it, what can i do with it, and how can it make my life easier?

I have great news! Yesterday a Verizon CS rep told me that EVDO will be available in the NY area this fall. She said probably around the end of September. If this is true, I sure hope our 710's will be able to support it then.

Maybe Verizon's big delay is so they can get it EVDO compatible now. EVDO and Bluetooth on a phone would be perfect together. I could link to my laptop or Pocket PC and surf the net.

Will the phone be on the Verizon website before its in the stores, because at ATT the phones always come out online before they go to the stores.

Is this the longest forum on the site.. I bet we will break 200 pages by the time the phone comes out.

It's amazing to watch this very similar scenario play out again here, just like it did and continues to do with Verizon' Audiovox CDM-9900. We on that forum lived and died for that phone on a daily basis. That and this forum reminded me of a flopping fish on concrete. I can only suggest everyone try not to get too upset and worked up. Someone is selling the 710 on ebay. is it safe to buy or would it not work since it has not been released in New York?

If all of this speculation about v710s needing to be reflashed before being sold is true, how long does this process take and what does it consist of?

It seems that this thread has become about as interesting as:

-Watching paint dry
-Watching grass grow

It seems on par with speculating when the next asteroid will strike earth - no that would be more interesting...

All I know is my current LG TM510 is on it's last legs. The ringer doesn't work anymore (although the buttons still beep), the battery is held together on with scotch take, the space button doesn't work anymore - unless you press it repeatedly.

So, shall we start a pool in Vegas and speculate on the release date.

Which came first the LG VX-8000 or the Moto V710???

I was watching a video on the VX8000 on CNET today, and noticed Joni Blecher mention that some camera phones will incorporate CCD into them instead of CMOS.

Does anyone know what type of lens the V710, will have?

With the tf memory card will you be able to record videos that are longer then 15 seconds and also how many mp3's do you think you could put on the 128mb one?

MOTO, for whatever reason and for now, believes the v710 will makes its VZW debut before Aug. 1st.

This is indicated in the fact that they have not yet moved their "Promotions" end date beyond the scheduled Aug. 1st.

We are all aware that the "Promotion" will start and end on the same day as many rush to register upon the phones release. However, it's my belief that if MOTO doubted a July release, they would, prudently, move the date to reflect this.

Therefore, I feel this is the date to watch. If there is to be an Aug. release, the "Promotions" end date must, not only change, but change prior to Aug. 1st.

Surely VZW would not leave MOTO hangin'. Would they?!!!

Firstly, I love kids. I have two. I still don't want to here from them in this forum.

Secondly, I think it's wonderful to remain a kid at heart. Just bring your "A" (adult) game to this forum.

I'm kinda confused about another phone by motorola. When I google v710, I get a phone also called the Motorola v710, released in 2002. It is cdma as well. Why would Motorola have a conflict in product numbers?

That link is the specifications.
My guess is that it was only released in other coutries (non-US) because picture search brings you to various european websites.
