Motorola V710

THE ONLY PLACE THIS PHONE HAS COME OUT IS IN EUROPE. THATS WHY WHEN YOU GO TO EBAY, SO SEE PEOPLE SELLING THE PHONE. IT HAS ALREADY COME OUT THERE, AND THEY SAY ITS GREAT.
iTS NOT WORTH GETTING THE PHONE ON EBAY ITS OVER PRICED, AND MIGHT NOT WORK ON OUR NETWORK.

im willing to pay any amount to get the phone now? is there ANYWHERE that i could get it? its not even available on ebay. any suggestions?

I have been waiting for this phone for a while... although i hope it's alot better than the v600 cuz it didnt get good ratings. It should be alot better cuz of Verizon's tests.

And plz only post info that you know is true, on this thread!.. not just some made up garbage.. plz 😁

It's cool to see that it will work with my existing desktop charger that I had for my T720/i95.

There is no guarantee that Verizon will even decided to release this phone. I was told that they are considering discontinuing all Moto phones. Do you think that this is even rationale? Would Moto spend so much on R&D without some sort of promise from VZW???

My VZW Sales Manager just confirmed first week of August release date for the V710. Let's hope that he is correct this time around.

hey all.

as I mentioned in an earlier thread, my t720 has died in the long wait for the v710. Ive been considering getting a cheap v60p (push to talk with speakerphone) off ebay so I dont waste my upgrade (so I can get the v710 when it finally comes out).

has anyone had the v60p? how is it? i dont care about the push to talk feature, I just want speakerphone...and that seems to be the cheapest phone on ebay with speakerphone. so are there any problems any of you had with it?

Ok, Hope this makes sense. This question is about phone book entries. I have a nextel i730 and want to switch to verizon...and of course get the v710.

If I store the name Jenny as: 310-555-5555 and dial her number as 555-1212 just the number shows up why not her name?

When Jenny calls her name shows up because it is stored in the phone book.

Other phones I have had(not motorola) recognizes it and shows the name when I just dial the 7 digit number.

Does this make sense and is it motorola or i730 specific?

Hey everybody, i've been looking at the specs for this phone for the longest time and haven't been able to find the answer to one question. does anyone know if this phone will allow you to organize the callers in groups and/or assign specific ringtones to each caller or group? (like the samsungs do with call groups and the Lg's do with the groups and individual ringer settings)

Another update. Motorola has provided a software change that Verizon requested. This hopefully last version will be tested for a few days. If all goes well, final approval will be Friday or Monday. Verizon has already received 7000+ phones, all of which will have to be opened up and reflashed at a considerable cost of time and money. The stock sitting in Moto's war...

are there any copies of pictures taken by the v710 posted on the internet anywhere?

I just have some simple questions.

1. Does anyone know if we will be able to send MP3s to the V710 as ringers or do we have to purchase them through buy it now. Can it be done with any already existing Verizon phone?

2. Can you use the web broswer to download files(any verizon phone). A few of my friends have Sprint and can go to the website 3gforfree.com to download free ringers and screensavers. Can you download 3rd party stuff onto Verizon phones?

3. Is there a website that I go to so I can learn more about cell phone websites and exploits for phones?

That's my question...if the card is due out soon in July...it would make sense for the 710 to be released around the same time...don't you think? Opinions?

Welp, i've been dying to get a v710 so i could provide data connectivity to my Ipaq via BT, but it looks like a pipe dream if I want to stick with Verizon. So, I've come down to this..

I'm getting a new phone tomorrow... I love my Timeport 8767 to death, but it's just reached the end of it's life.. I wanted to replace it w/ a v710, but since we dont know when it will hit, i will do one of the following: either I will get a i600, or switch to sprint.

THe i600 looks nearly perfect for me. If it comes loaded with (or i can install) a terminal services client on it (thats why i want bt data... to term serv into servers @ work) I will buy the i600 tomorrow...

So whats the deal? Term svcs on the i600 or not?

Does anybody know if all those software updates are in any way beneficial to us, or strictly another profit maker for VZW. Will we have to pay extra for every little thing?

I keep hearing why there is a delay on the 710. But why haven't they released the 810 in the U.S. yet? Are they having problems with it as well?
