Motorola V710

new every 2 and its that time again. Can anyone tell me how this phone syncs with PC (Outlook?) if no USB?

For whatever it is worth, 2 years ago I spent considerable time here while shopping for my current phone. I ended up with the Samsung A310 (which I love except the ringers). The point is that pre-release, all the stuff posted here about lack of release info mirrors the posts for the A310 two years ago. I suspect it is the same for every anticipated and interesting looking pre-release phone.

As I try to read between the lines, I see continuity about the August release and posts about an intended August Verizon promotion - for whatever that is worth.

Motorola is scheduled for an earnings call next Tuesday, July 20. It would make sense that they would either announce that the phone is available on that call or at the least give a solid date. Given the importance of the v710/Verizon for the company I would be surprised if they didn't speak to the issue - and I don't think the analysts would let them ignore it.

I work for Verizon wireless. First of let me just say that I was waiting for the V710 too. I really really want this phone. Now I know I will be attacked for some strange reason, by everyone who thinks it's coming out any day now, but we just recieved our handset pricing matrix for July 12 thru august 12 and it does not list the V710. When a phone is coming out during the term of the pricing matrix it always lists the phone. The new matrix even lists the new VZW Treo, but it isn't out yet. If anyone who works for VZW can back me up on this, please do. I asked her straight up, "What is the deal with the v710?!". She has assured me an august release date. She said that it has been pushed back from late July because of testing. Although no specific defunctions were listed by her, she assured within the fist 14 days of august. Let's hope she's right..............

From what I've read the scheduled release date of the phone is August (announced back in Jan '04). All the dates flying around were speculations created in this forum. Any release in July will make it "early".
All this talk about demanding a release date is crazy. I, like most of you, read this forum every day hoping for an earlier release of the phone. Getting upset at a "perceived" delay is crazy. Remember where those release dates came from: other posters who claim they know more than they obviously know; Not VZW.

So, lets keep our fingers crossed and pray the phone comes out sooner than later. But, as hard as it may be, lets keep our composures. 🙂 😉

I sent an inquiry through the VXW web site last night, pleading for a straight answer on the V710. What I got back this morning was a canned response that was very vague (sounded like John Kerry wrote it). I know that from working as a CS Rep that they are not suppose to set unrealistic expectations but this is absurd...

While I do agree that its rather childish to post lies up all the time about release dates and such, what makes you so sure its a child? I must say, the Motorola v710 forum has become absurd. The topics are no longer about the phone, but about inappropriate and off topic subjects. You will lose much credability if this continues. I refer many people to Phonescoop and I hear of many people who find it informative. This new behavior on the v710's forum is not acceptable.

the last 4 pictures all have the phone with the verizon logos in some guys hand. this means that the phone has probably been tested for a little while now cuz that article is from may 31st. hopefully it comes out soon...i really wanna know how much its gonna be...i hope it doesnt cost like $300 to $400

I was updating my brain as to what has taken place on this forum in the past few days, and noticed that someone posted that they had seen the SKU for the V710, on an internal computer system at VZW.

My question is, what is the SKU#

Also, does anyone know if there is a sku on the box in the form of 17-xxxx

I work for a major Indirect retailer and rumor has it that the 17-xxxx SKU is on all boxes sold thru our company, and thru any Verizon Corp. location, or dealer. I don't know how much truth there is to it, but anyone with true insider knowledge would be appreciated.

To all of those out there saying that they are gonna "Give up" on waiting? You have waited this long. Now when their are Magazine ads in a ton of magazines, our pals at Circuit city have told us that they are gonna be on display there for sure, Some have said they have shipped, Motorola meetings are telling people in the cell industry that it is all on verizon now, and The V710 moto page looks more like the V600 did just before release.
Cannot you people see that it just a matter or ANYFRICKENDAY! 🤣
